I wasn't aware there was a Galaxy++ dialog editor, so I couldn't tell you the differences.
@Slarti
Yes, I'll be adding more features. I'll add every control possible, along with their respective properties, and perhaps allow minor code injection.
Otherwise, I'm not really here to convince you to use this program. Use it if you want, don't if you don't.
Yeah, the actual program doesn't allow for any Galaxy scripting.
For example, next update I'll be releasing the Label control.
You'll be able to add as many labels as you want, but they'll just show up in the code as:
One day, I was making an SC2 dialog in the trigger editor while eating a PB&J sandwich.
I realized how tedious and time-consuming it was to make SC2 dialogs, and I thought to myself, "Someone needs to do something about this."
Thus, StarJelly was born.
What is it?
StarJelly is a program written in C#, created to allow developers to make dialogs in a breeze. Inspired by the .NET Visual Developer, this program allows users to do what the Galaxy Editor doesnt: You can create dialogs in real-time!
That includes clicking and dragging controls for ultimate control, and editing their properties for pinpoint accuracy and customization!
Version Information
We're currently on version 1.1.0.x BETA, so many of the controls and functions have yet to be implemented.
StarJelly is still very active and in constant development. So please sit tight as I release better versions to make this the best program it can be.
Current Version
Dialog Editor
Terran/Protoss/Zerg Skins
Right-click Control Placement
Label Control
Next Version
Drag-and-Drop Control Placement
Button Control
CheckBox Control
Future
Multiple Dialog Development
Anything Else?
The first beta was developed by yours truly, with the help of google, in one day and one night.
If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Please send me a PM or leave a reply. I'll get back to you as soon as I can!
Nah, it's not just a baneling. I was using that as an example.
I have three isles of units walking to attack each other, but they're spaced close enough that some guys from the middle isle go and aide the guys up top
The fact that you have to use a workaround is pretty ridiculous, and reinforces the fact that Bliz needs a manual for Galaxy Editor.
Anyway, I'll try it out and let you know. Thanks
Yes but that still doesn't help me because it still leaves the actual acquisition range intact. Regardless of if I simulate it or not, those banelings will always charge the SCVs at x distance. I need to make x smaller. What field controls that?
How do I change the maximum range of a unit to auto-acquire a target? Essentially the "Aggro range"
For example, if you move an SCV near a baneling, the baneling will automatically charge to attack the SCV. I want to decrease that range.
Many people say its the "minimum scan range", and while yes it does allow you to change the range, it only lets you increase it.
Good luck. This is the question of the ages. I believe in you, SC2 Mapster
lmao I've never heard of Troll Counselor. *That* seems pretty interesting
But I agree, I seriously doubt Bliz would allow such a game. Blizzard is the really hot chick you see at the bus stop who turns out to be a nagging bitch when you hook up with her
What's this program written in? I may be able to help if you want
I'm good with C# and Java, among others
Haven't used Cpp or Python in ages, but once I get rolling I'm fine

Shameless self bump

Uh... No? I need to make the distance of target acquisition shorter, not simulate an acquisition

Essentially it seems like you're basically asking everyone else to make this map for you
There's already an SC1 port map on SC2 btw

I'm not really *that* good. I have a lot of bad coding habits I'm not proud of, such as testing before even reviewing the code
