Banks are trigger-related. I'm sure there's a good number of tutorials for it here. Just beware that bank security is very hard (essentially impossible) to achieve.
Set the Mover type of the unit to Ground, and it should take ground pathing. Remove Collision flags with ground to ignore collision. This should get you what you need.
Thanks. I can take more pictures if you want. That's just what I conveniently had already. ;)
Or you can play it yourself. I had it up for some of my friends to play with. If I remember correctly, it's called Warrior's Clash.
My commands weren't really made clear in the game, so I'll just tell you here- "Let all hell break loose" - Zergling spawns, "Close the gates of hell" - stops zergling spawns. Other than that, it's just some eye candy work I made.
I attempted to play a game of this about a month ago with some friends, but faced issues with being unable to swap teams in the lobby, so I didn't really get to try it out. If you can fix that (or have already), that would help.
Actually, I'm a bit reluctant to join on this project, so I'll wait and look into things after the rules have been set and some participation goes, and possibly after I get a little bit more recognition.
So exactly what kinds of examples are you looking for? I have a decent-advanced skill with triggers and an average-decent ability to do data and terrain work. I haven't ever "finished" a project, though. I tend to wake up in the morning with a "great idea!" but then it simply becomes a wild experiment. However, I have started work on the community project of Island Defense 2 as one of the main developers.
I remember seeing a video for this map about 8ish months ago and wishing I could help out. Unfortunately, I don't have Skype or a mic, so that will likely cause some troubles. Heck, if you're really desperate, I can start learning to make SC2 models. I've been toying with blender for a couple months now.
So I'm assuming from reading that there isn't any editor work involved in this. I may do a bit from time to time if I decide to commit to mapster (it seems like a ghosttown here so far....). What am I expected to provide, then? Simply a list of "my character" and "my army", and do you have a list somewhere for point prices and whatnot?
I've been using this method for a map being created by my community, and it is working very well, but this appears to need to be slightly updated. You should add to your list of "unchangeable UI" the Behavior Bar and the Unit Wireframe. I attempted to move both and recieved an error ingame: (Modified UI) is marked as Blizzard-only and can only be created by Blizzard.
I also believe this solves FallenSword's issues with hiding the Unit Wireframe. I'm still working with this, so it is possible I will find other counterparts of the UI that are unmodifiable. I will post more if I see any.

There are 2 things you have to check to make sure it will work.
Under the Veterancy behavior, make sure Kill Fraction is 1.
Under the hero Unit, make sure that Kill Fraction is also 1.
If either of these are set to 0, nothing will be gained from kills.

For number 3, I believe that can be solved by also unchecking the "Structure" collision flag. I may be wrong on this one.
For number 2, set the Vision Height to 3.

Okay, cool. I'll look into it then.

Hey, finally some humor.

Third person Swordslinger I was working on (Hey, still a TPS). Model credit belongs to Triceron.

Is there any "anti-noob" in this project? I may consider joining, but I am reclusive to join from fear of being ranked by my 3 whole posts.

My apologies, I posted a bug in a tutorial thread before I saw this- I accessed the tutorial from a link by ProzaicMuse on the Blizzard forums.
The behavior bar and Unit Wireframe cannot be modified. "(UI) is marked as Blizzard-only and can only be created by Blizzard."
The listed message is created as an error upon attempting to move a Unit Wireframe or Behavior Bar.

-Also, I hope constructive necro is acceptable.
