Thanks much! The ability now teleports the caster, and applies the buff, as well, can you go into more detail on the removing the buff via attacks?
For example, where do I put the remove behaviour effect? Do I just attach it to the weapon? Or something like that?
It's times like these that I miss the War3 editor. Sure, things might have taken longer, doing half of every ability in triggers, but at least I knew how to do them back then >.>
Galaxy editor is killing me every turn I take. This one ability has taken me 5 hours already, at least.
So what I want it to do, is to have Zeratul do a nice little blink within a range of three, but no less than a range of 1. And he does it spectacularly. It even makes the little blinky animation, and he faces the correct direction, and it goes "Fwoosh!" Yay! That only took me a few hours!
But then, I want him to gain the element of surprise, and get a buff that doubles his damage for the next three attacks.
Problem 1: I can add 2 to his weapon damage, but I can't figure out how to multiply it by two. How can I do this?
Problem 2: I set the buff to cost 1 charge, and to start with three charges. I have no idea why I was so naive to think that this would actually do anything.
Problem 3: The ability, an Effect - Target (Targeting a point), teleports him to his selected point, but then doesn't apply the buff. If I change the ability to ONLY apply the buff, he can target himself, and it will apply it, or even target a zergling, and it will apply it to himself, but never alongside the blink. I changed the ability to do a set effect, that both did the blink, and a search area that applied the buff to every single "self" on the map. I tried the set as just the blink effect and the buff effect. No matter what I try, it will only do one of the effects.
If you guys could solve these problems for me, science would be much appreciative.
(Btw, if I ever finish my map [Which I probably will, considering it's about half my grade next year], sc2mapster is getting an entire dedication page in it)
First off, I know this has been asked before, but reading those threads didn't help me.
So. I'm trying to create an ability that will blink the target anywhere from 1-3 range away, and then deal damage to units it would have passed through had it phased through them, thus dealing damage to all units in a line between the starting point, and the ending point.
The Hellion and Raynor's Snipe both do this with Constant Offsets, but I don't want to have the character blink a distance of 1.5, and have it damage everyone in the range 3 line.
Is there a way where I could perhaps move a point towards the target point in three jumps, and deal damage around the point to enemies? Maybe applying a buff to prevent them from getting hit twice?
