Thanks for the tutorial. I am going through it now. One thing though, your example of a vector from points (2, 7) to (-4, 3), should be the vector (-6, -4) not (4,-6).
I finally figured this out. Apparently, you cannot just take the model from the Effects section and use it for a unit, because many of these models are not selectable as units because they are so small or something. There is a work around that SonOfAZerg suggested to use a second actor with a selectable unit model. There is probably a way to edit the Effect model to make it work, but I haven't tried that yet. The rest is straightforward.
I'm trying to figure out how to take weapon projectile models (eg. the Thor or banshee missiles or even a nuke) and use those to create a unit like a cruise missile or a freely flying nuke. Does anyone have some insight on how this may be done?
