    Hey guys. I'm not sure which I need to do this so I'm asking here and in triggers. How would you make a research ability that randomly generates 4 numbers and then tells you what they are? After you literally buy the code (using minerals) how do you make it so the code it gives you unlocks a door when you type the numbers in chat?

    This probably should go in the data category but I think I need triggers to do this. I would like to create a "buy access codes" ability for the wireless gate control unit. The thing is, I need it to generate a 4 digit code you must type in to get into a room. Also, the numbers have to be randomly generated and then it tells you what they are. Also another idea. You type in the wrong code and the turrets attack your men for 10 seconds then turn neutral again. Is it possible to make a research item make a unit become your unit? Say you buy a defense grid.

    controls? pretty basic. I made a region that the unit moves towards "offset 1" when W is pressed and "offset -1" when S is pressed, haven't figured out A and D yet :( THX!

    Thx for the thoughts! I don't seem to see the doodad door that is used in the game "room wars" which gave me the idea. Hmm... maybe a TPS CTF with forcefield "walls" instead? I already love the idea to simulate airlocks. But yeah if someone does have an exact answer please say.

    I am making a lunar base and I would like to add doors that slide down when you get close and up when you go away. The metal gate doodad is not showing on my comp. Is there another way to add them?

    Also, idk what this map will bcome. Should it be a 1v1 map? A TPS senerio? Or a capture the flagish thing? I need ideas as to what I should turn a base made with metal wall peices into. I realize this website is all about personal creativity and all but I need a little inspiration if you don't mind.

    Ok thanks. Maybe I should have said this as well :( The catch is that I want the air units height to be changeable as well and when they move to a low part in one zone they will go to a higher location in the other zone (getting closer to the ground). Would that still work?
