    im having the exact same problem. im also using wow models and the missiles dont hit the center of the model, and they also dont follow the target if its moving. i tried everything explained here but it didnt help.

    any news on this issue?

    hm ive tried the "smaller files" option but it didnt work. so as tazeran said my game variants are fine, and he could upload the map, it must be my slow internet forcing the "gateway_down" error. though im wondering cuz jackolas said its because of the game variants.

    anyways, thx to both of you for testing this out for me. ive a good feeling now since the upload works with a fast internet, so i can continue my project.

    WoW Arena Galaxy (Beta)

    Follower of my Wc3 Map "WoW Arena Allstars" (http://www.moddb.com/mods/wow-arena-allstars).

    Problem: I just cant publish my map, ive tried many things from game variants and player settings to removing the loading screen etc... My Internet is really slow and the map is 8.6mb, that may be part of the problem as well (even though the official map limit is said to be 10.5mb). The only condition under which i had an succesful upload was completely removing all imported files (not possible to do a WoW map without these), so the problem probably doesnt lie within the map itself but in the amount of data (just for you info, no music files in the import folder). Anyway, i lost my motivation on the project because i cant release it, so i definately need help to get this beta going. Ive spend about 2-3 months on that map, just so you know its a serious project.

    im having a question thats a bit complicated. i imported some wow models into my map, and whenever i use spells or attacks that use a missile and i fire them on these wow units the missile doesnt follow the unit and it also hits the ground, not the unit. it seems that theres a certain attachment point missing on wow models.

    do you know how to change the missile actor (or whatever needs to be changed) so that the missile follows and hits the unit? i cant find the right settings.

    posted a message on Map Size Publishing Issue aka Frustration

    Yesterday i wanted to upload a beta version to test some things. It didnt work. After reading countless threads about blizzards horrible map publishing system (which creates tons of complicated scenarios where you simply cant upload your map to bnet), ive found out that i cant upload my map because it is 8.6mb in size.

    I was like "eh wtf?!", because blizzard said that you have 50mb total for up to 10 maps. now the upload manager tells you that you can have 10.5mb maximum map size, which is already horrible compared to the promised 50mb, but would atleast make my beta work. But i doesnt work. After talking to some people they told me that everything above 3mb causes problems. oh great...ive deleted all my imported files, making my map 1.8mb in size. i tried to upload, and guess... it worked. yay! so i can make a wow map but no importing is possible.

    wow even wc3 editor was better, allowing 8mb and wc3 stuff was much smaller. ill stop working on my map until that is crap is fixed. blizz so bad.

    or is there anything i understood wrong? can anyone confirm that you can upload maps with a size of about 10mb? or is there really this invisible limit of 3mb? i know people say that there are many factors that affect the annoying map publishing, but removing all imported files and than having it work seems to show that its a clear issue?!

    any clarification would be nice, thx in advance

    Hi!

    Im facing a problem i cant seem to solve. Ive imported some WoW Models into my map, and when i use any spell or attack that uses a missile on a unit which has a wow model, the missile doesnt follow the unit and its hitting the ground, not the unit. when i use missile spells on units that have normal sc2 models, they hit and follow correctly.

    So the problem is probably due to a missing attachment point on all wow models?! Does anyone know how to fix that issue? can i change the missile impact location to an attachment point that exists on all models?
