I've created a custom map with a worker unit capable of building buildings from all three races. Or at least, in theory, it is. In practice, the button used to bring up the Zerg building list is broken. In game, it is disabled, as if there were no items inside. Looking at the button in the editor shows that it has "forgotten" which Command Card the button opens (i.e. the drop-down box is blank). Setting it again and saving it does not help.
Oddly enough, this only happens with my custom worker unit - at least, as far as I've seen. For Zerg units, the button functions just fine, even allowing the unit to build the structures inside. I've yet to check with other non-Zerg units.
I've played with the button object in the Data Editor, as well as the associated ability object, to no effect. I've played with the worker unit object, too, and that hasn't helped either. I even tried creating a new ability based on a known-good one, and the button still doesn't work. There's obviously something fundamental that I'm missing. The question is, what?
