I was having trouble killing cargo units in a bunker, kept getting errors and not all of the guys inside would actually get killed... a hacky kind of workaround was I had the bunker move instantly to a faraway region that automatically hid then killed all units that entered and created a new (empty) bunker on the original spot.
I have noticed that when I am testing my map on my work computer (it's much slower than my home rig) that I absolutely need to close the terrain editor window before test launching or performance will be total crap. I'm sure this is pretty common knowledge, but it may help a bit!
I would say you should include some screenshots and maybe even a video in your post... but then again speaking from personal experience it can be a pain in two and a half asses to get anyone interested in providing feedback for anything, but hopefully as HOTS inches closer to gestation more people will get interested in the mapping community again.
Who knows how the SC2 Arcade will be set up, but I sincerely doubt that a RPG will ever, ever have a chance at cracking the overall top 10 (probably even top 20, sorry) - but specific game types may get their own tabs or submenus, if that's the case you may just be able to pull off the #1 RPG... chances are good, since every one I have ever played in SC2 was terrible.
Unfortunate things like this happen once in awhile, just roll back to your last saved backup copy...
EDIT: based on your original post it sounds like... everything is placed lower than it should be? Maybe you adjusted the default map height value? I've had the problem before where I thought units/actors weren't appearing properly, but it turned out they had terrain height ignore on, or were being created below the visible space for a number of different reasons.
You could always put in a debug trigger to 'move unit instantly' for the summoning creature, move it to a point out in the middle of nowhere so you can see if it's still even in the map at all. Add a chat event and as soon as the unit disappears in your map type in the keyword, see what happens.
Pretty cool, I love when authors take the time to visually distinguish upgrades - but depending on the final scale of the WarRobot you may want to consider exaggerating the size of the boosters and exhaust, they will be pretty hard to notice unless your game camera is going to be way zoomed in.
Would you consider releasing the "mini Goliath" model for others to use? Base model, not including your unique upgraded bits of course.
Edit: is it going to be either/or - or will the visual upgrades continue to be added, can you have multiple at one time?
I've been trying to get a foley sound to play at a certain point, I've set the channel to 100%, unmuted the channel, tried to add some offset, set the sound to play at a player's current camera target, a camera object, etc... I can't believe how unintuitive it is just to get a goddamn sound to play.
I've been encountering this really annoying bug lately, the editor will go into 'wait' mode as it autosaves for about 5 seconds periodically, whenever it does, for some reason, whatever object I have selected in the trigger editor will think that it is being selected and you are holding down the left mouse button on it - even though you are not actively dragging this object it is selected until you click somewhere else, what this bug does is cause you to unwittingly drag/move that object to wherever you click next.
If you find yourself wondering why the hell there is a trigger out of place in a folder it doesn't belong in or an important part of your trigger that has been working for ages is now out of order and causing an error, this just may be your bug.
Is there a way to customize/modify the minimap appearance? I don't mean shape, size or location of the minimap itself, I want to more clearly define an area. I have a space platform in my map that just kind of gets lost amongst all the noise and blackness, you can see the dots for the units/structures clearly (Fig. 2) but I'd prefer for it to look something like Fig. 1 (done in MS Paint).

Hrrrm, that's weird, did you put any map initialization triggers in place, one that might have this action:
UI - Hide Resource Panel for (All players)
That doesn't explain the blue bar or the tooltip, but thought I'd ask...

Hopefully it comes with some new information on the SC Arcade... lots of details have been waiting to be filled in for a long time, too long.

I believe Ultidrgn did this about a year ago, check out his asset thread.

Ok, here's a question!
Is there a way to customize/modify the minimap appearance? I don't mean shape, size or location of the minimap itself, I want to more clearly define an area. Any ideas?
