    Hello Everyone,

    I am currently in progress of developing a new map. Long gone are the days of old with simple systems used to create interesting and fun ORPG maps. I remember playing Warcraft 3 ORPG's in my spare time and having a wonderful time with them. Well, it is my hope to recreate an amazing map similar to these older maps, but still new and interesting enough to fit well into the star-craft universe.

    Let me point out some of the major points of this ORPG...

    • Starcraft Universe, as a Terran on a new planet.
    • Entire worlds to explore, multiple maps.
    • Immersive single player storyline, and Multi-player dungeons/areas.
    • When Finished, I hope to start with 3-5 starting classes, with 6-10 advanced classes.
    • Start with 50 levels, 20-30 hours of single player game-play (including cinematic).

    As you can probably guess, I intend on making this game rather big. The first map I intend on releasing will be a starter planet (Level 1-20), which will also include the first dungeon/instance (level 15-25). I intend that the storyline will start here, and continue to later expansions (other planets, different areas on the same planet, etc). I will also add supplement additions later (such as entire maps to a raid instance) that would take quite a bit of time to clear.

    Currently I am looking for any of the following, however take note that as of right now, I intend on doing everything myself. However I think that by expanding to have a team, my ideas will get more exposure and maybe as a team we might come up with something better. This is especially true with any storyline elements. Here is the list from highest priority to lowest. Again, any assistance here is mainly towards the idea that more people will produce better results.

    • Data Editor (Heroes, Items, etc)
    • Story Editor/Writer
    • Terrain Expert (To create amazing and beautiful terrain)
    • Trigger Expert (Someone more skilled at some specifics of triggers that I do not do, such as cinematic, however not sure what I need here)
    • Testers (To test everything from cinematic experiences to balance, or new features)

    posted a message on Smart Click disabled, unable to attack

    Hello,

    Currently I am having an issue where I have a hero on my map, and the map uses a WASD movement system. However, for the system to work, I need smart click disabled. Now, I have looked around a bit and found some other posts about smart click but nothing that I was able to work with. Here is what I am trying to accomplish...

    - Ability to auto attack units that get too close to the hero ( e.g. within the shooting range). - Or ability to right click/left click an enemy unit and have the attack order issued. - I am also curious about when I start creating custom ability(s) (like snipe, stimpacks, etc), will they be effected in the same way?

    I am willing to change my current system if need be, if anyone has a better idea for how to either get around this, or a better overall system.
