Tried adding the suicide buff at the expire, but it doesn't work. The created hangar unit stays on the weapon's target even when the caster stopped attacking. Maybe I'm missing something... Or its impossible to create a Alpha Colossus that fires on the move T_T
I'm not talking about the Beam actor, but the Beam Unit(Created unit). In the behavior, the BEAM unit(Created unit) gets destroyed when the caster(The Alpha Colossus) is not stationary and not attacking
to be specific: The BEAM UNIT Behavior:
Final Effect: Destroy Created unit Periodic Effect: Search Area(Deal Damage) Validators(Remove): Caster is attacking, Caster is stationary
If I remove these validators, the beam just stays and attacks the caster's target unit, which is something that I don't want since the Beam isn't supposed to act on its own. However if stays like this, it cannot be used while the Caster is Moving/Attacking at the same time.
Wow. Just changed the whole weapon to not rely on "Create Persistent" but on "Behavior," and it finally works like a charm! Thank you so much for the fixXD! The only problem left is that the weapon's "BEAM" stays on the target and keeps attacking even when the caster stopped attacking. Just like the Carrier's interceptors..
Bump... I'm still trying to create this "Alpha Colossus,' but it just doesn't work.
Even though the ammo unit from the MAGAZINE is destroyed, the damaging effect from the Persistent Effect doesn't get removed. (I've used the Destroy Persistent Effect)
Hello~! It is a laser that uses a LAUNCH MAGAZINE effect(Just splash at the point of impact). It just launches a magazine unit, and deals area damage around the spawned magazine unit via CREATE PERSISTENT effect.
The problem is, this CREATE PERSISTENT effect doesn't go away even after the weapon ends, as you can see in the attached file. The enemies are damaged by this "Invisible" effect.
Hello! I was wondering if it was possible to create a moving laser beam that disappears when the caster stops firing. I tried to make it using various methods such as Validators, to no avail.
The laser doesn't disappear even after the weapon stops firing, and plus it deals damage to enemies in the place where it was first fired.
Is this "Moving Laser Beam" actually possible to make?
Moving Laser.SC2Map is the map that you can see the laser doing its work... Even though its broken.
The Problem: Whenever I try to use the "Model Previewer" in the editor, the editor slows down... To a point where I can't do anything except close the model viewer. However, the in-game performance and the editor's normal performance has no problems.
If anyone know a way to fix this problem, it'd be greatly appreciated.
Kill a friendly non-hero unit for mana or other stats
Surprise: Every time the unit does or takes n damage, its stats are reduced. The counter goes down every few seconds after you switch to another unit.
Gain attack range and maybe other things but reduce sight range. Non-heroic units no longer give you sight. Friends have to act as spotters for you.
A unit's only attack is an ability that fires a projectile. Projectile can do who knows what.
Causes friendly or maybe enemy units to explode on death/do other things
This unit constantly fires, but the barrel can only be turned forty-five degrees by use of an ability.
1. Hmmm.... I wonder if this "Charging Up" will be useful when there is a character specifically designed for dealing damage. Will it be useful if the "Charged Up Damage" deals more damage than the "Damage Dealing Unit?" But will this make the "Damage Dealing Unit" less useful...?
2. There is an ability that allows its user to consume a friendly unit's health for it's own health or energy. Maybe I can use "Shield Consumption" since I'm still working on the Protoss Race.
3. Hmmmmmm..... This one seems unique!:D However, there are many heroes in my game that decrease enemy stats such as movement speed. However there were no 'Stat-Decreasing' abilities that "Stacked" multiple times on a single unit especially with a counter.
4. Wow. So that's an ability for a "Sniper." I really like how your allies have to act as 'Spotters':D
5. Again, W0W. I never thought about units.... 'Exploding' on deathXD I also like the fact that this unit fires "Constantly."
Thank you for the wonderful ideas that you provided!:D
Hello, I am [email protected], the creator of the LONG-dead series called "The Viacre."
I'm not a professional, and I'm just a casual map maker who wants to finish my map that I started working on a LONG time ago. The idea started back in 2007 with my small SC1 map "Insect RPG" which had players evolving their heroes throughout the game. Then in 2010, the sequel "SC Survival" came out in SC2, which had players evolve throughout the game, but this time players were able to "Change back" to their previous characters at will. Then in 2014, another sequel came out with the name "The Viacre." It had similar gameplay, but with more content such as unlocking upgrades and abilities as you evolved. And ever since then, the final chapter of the Viacre is being made. This time, the game will allow you to make "Choices" on how you want to evolve your character, and every choice will have its consequences. For example, if you choose to evolve a "Protoss Sentry," you won't be able to use the "Protoss Stalker." There will be at least 153 heroes, with 51 per race. Each 51 units per race will be different, and will differ from one another in terms of usage.
However, it is VERY hard to create 51 units that differ from each other. So... I'm looking for people to chat who have tons of ideas when it comes to custom units.
It will be a "Casual" chat room, so everyone in the room won't have to talk all the time, and it's even recommended you turn off the notifications of the app or the chat room. You can just talk and give me ideas and your thoughts from time to time whenever you feel like doing so:).
The chat will be in an app called "Wechat," and anyone interested can download it in your phone/PC and contact me with [email protected] so I could give you my Wechat ID.
HOWEVER just a few hours earlier I met people who gave me tons of ideas... Which was just what I needed. So I won't be looking for people anymore. But if you still want to help me with ideas, feel free to contact me via email or PM.
I suggest going with the "Upgrading" since it will give your game more variety. For me, it is a bit boring having to play as a same character all the time in a single game, especially when there are no customization options. However, even if you have a single character, you could give it tons of customization options, or maybe make your character evolve, and unlock upgrades and abilities as you level up. It all comes down to your choice!:D
Wow... Even though my VPN is refusing to load all of the amazing pictures, the ones I can see are really amazing. It really shows how much love went into the development. I'm also amazed with the "Endless Terrain" system, and I'm eager to see how much "Amazement" you will draw out from the audience. Thank you for releasing your assets and good luck with the game!
