I have, for the last week or so, been working on a map analyzer specifically for melee mapmaking. The previous analyzer by dimfish is no longer supported, so I decided to create an analyzer myself. I have already come a long way with the analyzer, but am looking for help with some logic. One obstacle that I have hit, is how to detect the natural expansion (the one closest to the main) so that I can return the distance between those. More specifically, I want to get the point where you would place your CC, not the nodes.
If anyone has any ideas how to approach this, it is very much appreciated. If you have questions about the analyzer and its functionality, go ahead and ask. Note that my analyzer, unlike the previous one, is done in the editor and not outside the game.
Absolutely stunning piece of work. Enjoyed it a lot more than expected, and I can't really think of any noticeable flaws, beside the ones Ducky mentioned. Just a plain damn good job.
Aww, well, if anything, Diablo 3 taught me a valuable lesson about blind faith, pre-purchasing and refusing to believe what is right in front of my eyes, for which I'm grateful. Go onward Jay, teaching future generations these valuable lessons!
Exactly this. No way I will ever do the same mistake again.
I believe a lot of people like myself dont post very often, but are just lurking the forums and keeping themselves up-to-date with what's going on around here.

I tried both of your maps, and I really like the idea behind them (although they are unfinished) - I had fun :)

You could just've posted in this thread instead. Merry christmas anyway.
