although i dont understand the korean written on the maps, its good to sea some RPG's. also, i watch a youtube vid of Collosus Survival, and that looks really hard and fun at same time.
also, good job on keeping the first post up to date, you beat me to it xD
Very nice thread. The numbers of popular maps in SEA is so low O.o
We need you!
Yes sea has a drastic shortage of good custom maps, if you are a map maker who would like to promote your map on the SEA bnet, or would like to have your map on SEA just to make us Australian's/New Zealander's/South East Asian's feel better, please concider reading the thread here:
http://forums.sc2mapster.com/general/general-chat/4979-hosting-on-sea/#p11
help a brother/sister out =) .... but hey, no pressure
I thought it would be cool if we all shared pictures of the popular games list from each of the Bnet regions.
The regions that we currently have are: SEA (Australia, South East Asia), NA (North America), EU(Europe), LA (Latin America), KR(Korea) and RU (Russia)
It'd be awesome if we could get some custom game lists from all of these, especially TW(Taiwan) and CN(China) server.
Put filter as Custom map only
Remember to hover your mouse over the top map on each page, so we can see how many people are playing.
Just attach 3 or 4 pics.
Always update attached image in your own post first and edit the date. This first post will be updated. Pics usually need update once a week.
!!!SC2Mapster has recently implemented a popularity webpage, so you can view the maps available on each region here: http://www.sc2mapster.com/popularity/
On the SEA bnet server their is:
21.0MB map uploading limit (total space) for each user
only 5 map upload slots available for each user
I have used 1 slot for my own map, so i have 4 slots available to upload other peoples maps for them =).
+ + + + + + + + + +
There are 2 ways for you to get your map uploaded onto the SEA bnet server that i know of:
1) give me a copy of your map and i upload it on your behalf
I can understand if you don't trust me to do this given that i've only just started posting on sc2mapster, however i have been reading the news on sc2mapster since beta...just not posting anything (also, i didn't get a copy of sc2 until retail launch)
I will provide screenshots of me uploading your map, and once its uploaded onto bnet.
And if you want me to remove the map at any stage, i will (ill give u my email so you can contact me easier)
- - - - - - -
2) i give you my login details, you change your registry so you can connect to the SEA bnet server, you upload your map yourself using my login details
If we go down this path, i want to make sure your an active member of this community, so i can trust you with my login details (please dont steal my account, ill cry :'( )
This option would take some more effort on your behalf, and if your not familiar with the windows registry might take a while... but the registry is fairly easy to learn and straight forward.
If anyone knows another method for you to upload your map to the SEA bnet server, when you yourself do not have a SEA account, please post below.
This is risky, but SEA bnet is suffering from having not alot of custom maps.
Also, if you want people the SEA ppl to worship you, this might be your best chance! xD
- - - - - - - - - -
3) you could buy a SEA copy of starcraft 2 and upload the map yourself
just dont buy it from Ebgames Australia unless you want to be ripped off 100$ for standard edition and 150$ for special edition. JB hifi usually sells it cheaper, around 70$ for special ed.
This method would give you the most flexability, but cost u 70-100$ more moneyz
+ + + + + + + + + +
So far Myself, Maul, and Eonfuzz have offered to upload maps to SEA bnet on your behalf.
Maul has the most posts between us, and has already uploaded 2 maps to the SEA bnet that ive played (he/she was also one of the first ppl to upload their maps)
!!!If anyone else in the community is on the SEA bnet server, and is active in the community can they please post their uploading support here, that would be epic.!!!!
Thats a cool idea, but i'd want automatically sending an email to be optional (some profile setting maybe?)... because if you were watching a really active thread, you'd get spammed by emails. which would be annoiying.
edit*
on Whirlpool, you do not get emailed when one of your watched threads gets someone posting on it
Hello, I've come to suggest a new feature for the forum. "Watched Threads" =)
(you can see how this feature works in the forums at http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/)
the basic idea is, you login to your account, you go into the forums, when you find a thread that you would like to read again in the future (without having to search for it), there is a button at the top of the thread called 'Watch Thread', you click it.
In the future when you login again, on the side panel click the Discussion forum tab, then click 'Watched Threads'.
This will display a list of all the threads that you have marked as a thread to watch THAT have some new posts in them.
(so if you've marked a thread to watch, but no-one else has posted in the thread since you last read it, that thread will not be in the 'watched threads' list)
(however, if someone has made another post in any of the threads that you've marked as watched, then that thread will be displayed)
this feature would be epic for people asking questions on the forum, who are waiting for answers
again, my explanation may be a bit hard to understand, i recommend making an account on Whirlpool and seeing how it works, because it is definitely a useful feature...and my Firefox bookmarks bar is getting overloaded with short cuts to threads xD.
If some people could comment on this feature below, that would be awesome.
Hello
What is the progress on this? Has anyone contacted Maul about uploading thier Maps to the SEA bnet for them?
If you have made a map, and would like to upload it to the SEA bnet, please post something in this thread so either Maul or Myself can upload it for you
We are desperatly out of good quality custom maps on the SEA bnet (when i saw the amount of custom maps on the EU and US bnet, i nearly cryied xD)

Fortress Fight has been uploaded onto SEA. It isn't very popular yet, so you will have to go to the create games section then find it.

that feature is not currently possible. However, if we implemented the feature talked about at this thread: http://forums.sc2mapster.com/general/general-chat/9703-new-forum-feature-watched-threads/#p3 what you wanted to do would be possible
