If the custom races are initially defined in a mod file, and not the map file then yes it's a mod. However if it's all been done in the map file, ie.. You started with a map, and edited the data from there, then it's just a map.
I'm not sure if it works with just the map as I'm using mod files for my erm... mod.
I would imagine it'd be fine, just make sure everything else works without the race set, and then try with the race set.
Not sure if this is the right place. I'm wondering if it's possible to make water impassable for ground units, but have air and hover units able to pass over it. At the moment my hover units just seem to go under the water. Anyone any ideas how to get it working properly?
Is there any way to set a team as a race, instead of the individual players. I want 3 teams, each as a seperate race, and I want the players to freely move around these teams in Lobby. At the moment I can set the player race, but it won't change if they change team, which means that Player 1 will always be Custom race 1, and player 2 will always be custom race 2, etc...
I think there's been a stealth patch for the editor. Custom races sem to be working. You can set a custom race in the player properties section, save and publish and it works perfectly, it still doesn't have the custom team selection in game, but as long as you don't change the race in game, you'll start as the race specified in player properties.
Now if only we could select it from the game lobby.
Huzzzaaa!!!! Finally got it to work, in case anyone else is wondering, don't have the search filters set with hasshileds = required. Dunno why, but it'll stop the recharge from working.
I had combine structure values checked, so I couldn't see it. Thanks very much, everything else was fine. Now to go test and make sure it works. Thanks again.
I have made a mod that allows custom races, these do work, and if I select Random as my race, I have a chance of playing as a custom race. However I want to know if anyone knows how to allow the selection of the race manually? At the moment without being able to manually select the custom race it kinda makes the mod useless. Any help would be apprieciated. Thanks.
That's the thing, I can't seem to find a vital regen section, all I can find is Vital cost or Vital duration, or in the combat section there is Vitals and Vital Fraction, neither of which seem to recharge the shields, and I've put it to 10 for either and both of them, tried it multiple ways. Am I supposed to see an option for vital regen?
I'm looking to create a shield recharge aura for my custom mod, which would be a structure that charges shields (obviously) So far I've made the behaviours and effects, so everything works, but I can't figure out how to make it charge the shields. Does anyone have any idea?

So I go back into the map and set the races to custom ones to start and now I can't upload the updated map. The map and mod are seperate, but i can't figure out how I would go about allowing the custom races to be selectable. They're not overwriting the originals, they are full new races. Any help would be apprieciated. Thanks.
