I thought you had intentionally taken it down as I was getting the message "The chosen map is not available to play", which I still get when I try to create game from recently played maps (v0.43 but indeed I can't find it on the Join Game lists any longer.
I'm another one driven here by the fact I can no longer play it XD But I'll throw some random ideas brainstorm style and maybe 1 might stick
- turrets that generate income, i.e. they don't fire or contribute to battle at all
- turrets that boost aspects of the capital ship, e.g. speed, shields, health, armour etc.
- more players, but also let's not make it an assumption that each player needs to be in a massive capital ship. Smaller frigate type ships, more nimble but less power etc. could be an interesting dynamic and fun to play.
- I feel I'm pretty good at this beta and I usually win and one thing I always do is switch off fighters so I don't give away money (not that I'm 100% sure player fighters give cash) nor do I build fighters, I've only heared whinging when someone tried it. Do you consider all these things to be an issue to be addressed?
- In the spawn of fighters have battle cruisers (regular sized ones) spawn occassionally? Vary what's going on.
- turrets that gain a bonus when the ship is stationary?
- a few hard points at the rear of the ship (not necessarily more total)
- I currently find that once someone feels the need to run they will not be able to do so as the opponent can run them down. This feels somewhat counterintuitive and you see people fall into this a lot.
- chaff ability (ship or turret?) launches debris that is hostile but basically innert and worth no cash. Distracts both large and small hard points into firing at it. Should time out to prevent mining
- Mines. If impelemented should be invis and with a lifespan. Don't grant detect to the capital ships though imho (but maybe to frigates!)
Hope you put the map back up soon regardless of changes.
Sadly it did not. Also while the Marauder is green for modified all child objects are blue (I only modified cost and life regen so far). Does it help that the tooltip for the marauder in the queue is "Cancel builder selection"?
1) Barrack's card looks fine (in game and editor), did I make it clear I meant his icon when queued, not on the card? Card for this item reads:
-Buttons: Train Marauder
-Command Type: Ability Command:
-Requirements: (None)
-Ability: Barracks - Train Grunts
-Ability Command: Train Marauder
It's a custom building but it's mostly inhereited from the terran barracks.

Hey guys, I'm just working on a Starship Troopers style map purely for the editor experience and had some questions if I may.
1) I seem to have screwed up my marauder unit. When he's building in the barracks he has an SCV icon, but where is this set?
2) I have a trigger that is working 'fine' but creates an "responce function has no event" type error. Can anyone else? It's in an action on game timer which then has a couple of actions to create units and order them to attack. Also a global real called HealthModify is incremented, and an integer named wave number also.:
Unit Group - Pick each unit in (Last created units) and do (Actions)
Actions
- Unit - Set (Picked unit) Maximum Life to (((Triggering unit) Maximum Life (Current)) + HealthModify)
It's really annoying me so any help much appreciated :)
