Hi! I'm new to the site, except for having read a few tutorials posted here.
I have been trying to create new hero's and abilities for SC2's SOTIS. Which is like DOTA.
Anyway, in order to submit a hero to the author it must have four abilities rank1, a model, general concept
etc.
So I saw the model that Stetman uses, I think its Stetman Medic? Anyway, I have tried duplicating the unit, recreating the unit
with new actors and models, all kinds of stuff. I just can't seem to get the game to display the appropriate model and instead get
the white globe of death. I've copied other units, created other units,swapped out unit weapons, and worked with abilities and effects and have never
run across such an irritating scenario! I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Ill try to amend this post with a link to my pathetic attempts to make this work.
In the meantime, if someone can copy stetman properly so I can start to work abilitie
s for him, please let me know and let me examine what you did!
solved it on my own by continuing to tinker around. That took way longer than it should have. I was making
a mistake in copying the unit model. Apparently thats a no no. It never creates a duplicate, ever. So you cant
have multiple similar models running around with different names.
