I'm surprised blizzard isn't doing more WoW units, I wonder why they did Tauren marine in the first place? I'd rather have a night elf something instead.
It was an April Fool's day stunt. They pretended it was an actual unit.
Sounds like you had a narrow miss with that one. If the only thing you're able to get from a girl is sexual gratification, you may as well just masturbate.
I've never heard of java being used for a serious 3D game. It's always C or C . That said, C# with xna is probably the easier route for quickly coding a game(it's essentially designed for that lol).
All the labels in my trigger editor are duplicated so it takes me more time to find things in various categories. It's very frustrating and annoying. Anyone know how to solve it?
Hmm I looked at the carrier hangar again and that's actually an arm magazine autocast. I'm not sure how feasible it is to use arm magazine for this. There might be a way to make it work, but I suspect it would require a hacky work around.
This map has been renamed to "Tower Overwhelming" so if you want to play it, search for that. It's also been updated to hopefully have better gameplay.
If someone actually uses this, all you need to do to break the scheme is run your test map on the new bank and see what the new checksum is supposed to be then change the checksum.
Without proper locking(which I suspect is impossible under the current architecture), nothing can be made even close to secure. You can't encrypt because you can't keep the keys private. You can't hash because as soon as they know the hashing algorithm, it's easy for them to generate a correct checksum. You can't sign because that's encrypting a hash... The only thing you can do is slow down lazy people.
I half expected that creature in the trailer to say "hell, it's about time." They borrowed pretty heavily from the sc2 intro trailer there.
It does look like it could be awesome though. Of course, so did spore and we all know how that turned out :(. At least Will Wright is out of the picture.
Instead of saving locked maps on the users PC, maybe blizzard could implement a 'Streaming' thing. Basically, you play, a temp copy is download to a folder. Then when the match is over, the map is deleted from that place. This folder could be somewhere like an appdata folder, or a place where you generally can't access. Plus if SC2 is using the map, I don't think you can copy + paste the file.
Would require redownloading on each play, but i'd say it's worth it to keep the map safe.
Won't work. You can still get at it. The bottom line is that if the map is anywhere on the user's computer, in RAM, or transmitted over the network, it will be accessible some way or another. In order to play the map, the user's SC2 program needs to be able to access it, and if SC2 can access it then so can the user. The only thing blizzard can do is make it require more effort/reverse engineering to bypass the locking system.

Ok, looking at the hour totals up now, I don't think any new games are going to make their way up the list.

Maar's blink is similarly broken.

It could be a bug. Storing the time in seconds in an unsigned short would cause wrap around at about 18 hours :P.

That's a horrible way to do it nexius.
When you duplicate the baneling, also check the box that duplicates the linked model and the actor. The game will relink to the copies for you.

Why does C make my text go green?

There's also an autocast for training units :P. See carrier hangars for details.

Maybe I'm misremembering, but you can just select the point index with the random var can't you? No need for a shitton of triggers that way.
