I have the same problem sometimes. not sure why it happens but i have to restart the editor and sc2 to stop that dependency error. It always fail to publish every other time i try to do it. sometimes it fails 3 times but i keep doing it until it does
Really cool, its got a nice gothem city feel to it. You could make a batman game! Ive always wanted to learn to make something like that just so i can make GTA or some sort of hitman game.
yeah, the test document is set to 'faster'. I had the same issue Vexal mentioned but I fixed that. the thing is both the test document and the one i published is at 'faster', but i notice its going slightly faster on bnet, or its slightly slower when im testing it. its probably just my computer.
Not sure if it's in the right section, but I was working in the data editor changing the speed of a unit and then timing it to see how long it gets from point A to point B. I tested offline and on Bnet and surprisingly, the game speed was going a lot faster on bnet. I did set the game speed to 'Faster'. The unit was moving a lot faster online then off which is annoying because my map was set to the speed when it was offline. Is this normal?
Hi, I'm looking for some one to help me make two terrain, or at least one of them. Both needs to be 256x256 and doodad heavy (I'll be picking this out of it as I develop my maps).
Jungle - Like a rain forest, extremely thick forest with no height change (hills valleys. etc), but a few cliffs hear and there. Use Bel' Shir tile set.
Space Colonies - About 18 islands with varying sizes. Lots of cliff changes. Few of the small islands can be connected by doodad bridges. Use Barxis Alpha tile set.
Thanks in advance for anyone willing to help. If you want to find out what they're actually for, PM me.
Hi, i've been doing trigger since sc2 came out and have no programming or wc3 background and have been learning with logic and trial and error.. I don't have time to actually pick up a book and start learning programming language, but I realize I don't understand some very basic stuff in the editor:
- Difference between action and function? I know this has been answered many times saying function returns the value or sometime, but I realize I have no idea what it means by 'returns', which is my next question...
-what does it mean by return? I have a general idea what it is, but I still feel unsure.
- and also, what happens with the variable when you check 'constant'?
If you go into the 'Lighting' window you can change the specular or emmissive multiplier, (not really sure, still learning myself) or was it diffuse multiplier.... anyways, if you want it to glow like that keriggian, play around with the lighting.
You should report them, I do it all the time, it's fun. Never actually had any one insult me after the game, but people swear at me for lagging just a little bit, that's depressing...

Thanks guys, actually do get it after reading it over a few times. I've been using my actions properly then.
Is there an advantage in using a function v. variable to return a value?

go to the ability and set Flag - Transient. that way the ability can be used while moving.
