Bear in mind, most hackers also get your email password (usually through the same means they get your wow account password.) Its completely viable that not only did they delete the confirmation email, but they're using your email to spam other players.
When you get hacked, you should change email, MSN and other IMs, etc to different passwords. If you have a cellphone, buy the 1$ authenticator, or get the free one on the iphone.
