Well, I guess someone wanted this day to be my lucky day.. Because I went into my Documents folder and found a .sc2map.old file of my map that was corrupt. I renamed it to just .sc2map and ran it in the editor and, voila. Everything was still intact and sitting there, as it was the second before it became corrupt. So, in the end, I lost nothing. Now, off to make copies of my work this time...
That's what I was hoping not to hear. Although the editor has so many bugs, I guess the only thing I can do is blame myself for not creating backups. Now, given what I have learned while using the editor, I'll be able to start a new project with a more unique concept this time and make sure it's properly backed up. Thanks for the reply.
I usually leave Galaxy Editor running after I'm finished coding at night. Last night, I did just this and awoke this morning to work on it again, and first thing I do, the Galaxy Editor crashes. After crashing, I tried to reload my map, but now, everything about the map is corrupt (even the description and map image is missing) and I get this error: Unable to open archive (Your StarCraft II installation is corrupt. Would you like to run the Repair tool now?)
I did a repair on SC2, but the map file is still corrupt. I can go back and open the map from an Editor Log file, but doing so will cause me to have to redo weeks of work and I just don't have it in me to do all of that work again. Any insight on how I can get my map back?
