posted a message on Problem with actors after switching models

I'm making a TD map and I've switched a few models on some of my towers. This has lead to three problems:

    1. The towers are shooting from where I want them to. For example, I have the colossus laser firing from the bottom of an obelisk when I want it to fire from the very top of it.

    2. The health bar is waaaay off. It's like in the middle of the model.

    3. Some models (from doodads) have different variations. I've found the attributes (I think) that control what variations of the model can show up but I have no idea how it works as I believe it requires some kind of expression to control the probability for a specific model to show up.

So if anyone has any idea how to fix amy of these problems, I would love to hear it.

    Thanks

posted a message on Question about Tower Defense maps

I love TD maps and I'm making one myself. However, I never played WC 3 so I'm kind of confused about what people expect when they want to play a TD map in SC 2.

The TD I'm making at the moment is going to be a 1-2 player map and if you want to play 2 players, you'll have to co-operate. It will probably also be required that the two players are kind of on the same page when it comes to knowing the map, as you'll have to plan when building and upgrading.

However, when I go online in SC 2 to check out some other TD maps, all I find are these multiplayer maps where everyone's pretty much doing their own thing and everything is fairly straight forward. It doesn't feel like we're playing with each other as much as we're playing against each other which makes me a little uncertain about what people want in a TD map.

The reason I'm making this topic is because I'm making the map for other people to play. So if everybody expects the TD maps to be straight forward with almost no need for co-op, then I fear that I'm going to have a hard time getting people to play my map on Bnet. So, are there people out there who enjoy complex TD's with a lot of depth?

posted a message on Problem with player properties

I tried publishing my melee map earlier today and while the process went relatively smoothly, my map didn't show up the way I wanted it to in the game lobby. It's a 2 player map and when I set player 1 and 2 to be user controlled, they count as the same team on Battle.net (both are on Team 1). I tried setting player 2 to be controlled by both "none" and "hostile" without any success. But I am pretty sure both player 1 and 2 should be set to be user controlled, which make me believe that I've missed a checkbox or something.

    Thanks
