I've created an ability that is basically a re-creation of Death Grip from WoW, which I was making for the WDE #12. The problem I'm having is getting an Actor Beam to occur between the caster and the targeted unit. I don't know what events are required to make a connection between the two units. Any help is welcome, thanks.
Well it's not a WoW spell, but in the spirit of Blizzard games I thought I would post this ability I made a while back. It's inspired by the Diablo II spell Firewalk.
I was wondering if anyone could help me with some finishing touches. The fire applies a 'scorched' buff that indicates the effected unit is on fire. I would like to apply an actor that shows this during the buffs duration. Any advice on how to achieve that is appreciated.
I was wondering if it were possible to export the models from SC2 and open them up with Modo. If anyone could steer me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it, thanks!
Instead of "Copying" the marine, "duplicate" the marine. You should then receive an option dialog that lets your choose which elements of the unit you'd like to copy.
I have created a custom ability that creates a trail of fire behind the casting unit. Its a periodic effect that triggers at the location of the caster once per second, over 20 seconds. Each time it triggers it creates a fire actor that disipates after 10 seconds or so. My problem is that when I'm using this ability in the vicinity of a specific unit (Raw Terrazine Shrine) the fire actor doesn't show up even though the periodic effect is still triggering. If I leave range of the Raw Terrazine unit while the ability is still active, the trail of fire actors will appear. I cant figure out how to make the Raw Terrazine Shrine not interfere with my actors, does anyone know how to solve this?

Need people with fresh ideas, constructive criticism, and feedback. Also looking for anyone who might want to contribute to the project in the Abilities department. (:

The goal is to capture as many of the 4 nodes on the map and maintain control of them. The game play is very similar to Eye of the Storm or Arathi Basin. The main goal of this beta testing is to determine what abilities work, and which dont. I also need to balance HP, energy, etc any work out any possible bugs found. I am also looking for anyone who is skilled in making abilities that may want to contribute to my project. Leave a message on the thread or find me on Battle.net if you are interested in testing and or contributing. I should be on to test tonight (Tuesday August 31st) 11pm-midnight PST.
