I use CS2 and I can't remember specifically how to do it, but there is a way you can draw a simple pixel pattern to the grid in photoshop and that's where you see stuff like that come into play
Something is extremely wonky in the patch with regards to latency. I suspect that they messed stuff up while adding UDP support in the latest patch. 4v4s and 3v3s are almost unplayable, out of 5 or so matches only 1 didn't have SERIOUS lag issues. Even 1v1s appear to suffer from this issue.
Thanks man! I've been fooling around in the galaxy editor, I'm happy to have a REAL dev tool like I'm used to with source mapping, gonna take a lot of learning to get the scripting down though (but that's infinitely preferable to making triggers in Ye Olde Staredit)
I would love this resource, and would be happy to host it on my webspace for all to use. I have plenty of unused bandwidth. Send me an email ( ennuinin AT gmail ) if you're interested.
Hey there. I'm an old school Starcraft player that dabbled in SC1 mapping for years, but since 2003 or so I've been a Half-Life 2 modder working with the Source engine (one of my projects is Half-Life 2: Wars which is a HL2 mod converting the game to an RTS). Been waiting excitedly for SC2 for over a decade so I decided long ago I'd develop for it - and now that I have my hands on a beta key and the beta editor I'm getting started.
I'm a student at the University of North Carolina, recently turned 21 and I read lots of books and watch lots of movies (as well as playing/making games of course!). I figure this will be my forum home for SC2 editing so just wanted to say hello to everyone!

Coming from someone who spends most of their time in Valve Software fan communities, all I have to say is this: patience!

Unique IDs have been phased out in Patch 13.

Wow, I hope they expand that space at some point (post-beta or whatever). That's pretty skimpy...

Yep. I finished a game literally 30 seconds before they shut it down. Patch 13 is being rolled out as we speak.

Functionality is more important than looks, just make color-coded buttons with legible text for each unit/sound.
