k. that works.
not 100% necessary but would be a plus if someone knows.
how to remove the behaviour if the unit interrupts the casting by move order or something? (player moves unit or stops the casting in a other way)
to be fair I loved the youtube video's you posted. (but than I think its because i play monster hunter tri myself and can find the gameplay in this)
cool to see how you done some stuff but you should not give up that easy. keep evolving your map. there are some great stuff in it.
I'm trying to let an ability be interrupt by any dmg when its cast.
don't care if its a data or trigger solution. anything will do as long as it works.
- is it possible: Yes its rather basic to do. couple of triggers and your done
- is it long to create: if you put your mind at it it can be done in 1 day (since you have a plan to do it)
- is it fun: NO. simple reason. 30 mins for a game like nexus wars/ colonial line wars is kinda long. also since there is already a lot of them you don't have nearly as much change to making it a succes.
but its a good way to try out some stuff. just don't expect to make it to the top.
the map takes a while to load tough. (1 min on my pc)
you put a lot of stuff into it.
when I get that the editor is not responding I normally wait. after a couple of secs the editor returns normally. so far i had only 2 real crashes but that is more because I tried some things that where not suppose to be done
go to the actor of the unit. (warpgate in your case)
now all the way in on the bottom of the list there is a field called:
UI - Wireframe Shield +
you need to put the 3 shield pictures there. (in order)
example for my nexus:
UI - Wireframe Shield + -> (Assets\Textures\Wireframe-Protoss-Nexus-Shield01.dds|Assets\Textures\Wireframe-Protoss-Nexus-Shield02.dds|Assets\Textures\Wireframe-Protoss-Nexus-Shield03.dds)
not calling it easier. but you made use of the timer. :P
bet there are another couple of ways of doing this. its just what you like best.
the wheel is taking a bid longer. the damm thing stopped spinning after I added the 4th beam.
