    I have a question. In 3ds max my model is various shades of gray. After exporting it to .M3 it just appears black in the SC2 editor. How do I make it colorful. I'm new at 3d modeling lol

    I'm having two problems with this that should be very easy to solve.

    1. I'm not a very experienced 3d modeler and I haven't been using 3dsmax as the main program that I model in. When I try to export a model as an m3 it says "runtime error: no meshes found" I have tried converting my model to a mesh and it didn't do a thing to change what happened.

    2. Even simpler than the one above(assuming the one above is simple and not some insane error induced by phycotic penguins with a technology mess up ray on the moon): I can't find the starcraft 2 model files.

    Please help!

    I'm still learning how to use the data editor and I was wondering if there was a way to make an ability that targets a unit and subtracts resources from the owners stock. How would I go about doing this? Thanks Roguedragon

    Thanks! I got the "interceptors" to not die instantly after being used. However I can't seem to make it so that they fly around like the ones the carrier has.(I made them uncommandable after I realized that I commanding them, they didn't attack when I commanded them to attack though.) If anyone has any insights as to why they can't move I'd be very appreciative. I've attached an updated version of the map.

    Just for practice I've been working on a custom hanger ability for a unit. What I mean is I'm making it from scratch. I've gotten it to the point where the little ships(I'm calling them terran fighters and they are scaled down battlecruisers) appear but after that they just sit there and when the carrier unit moves they explode. If anyone has any ideas as to whats going on please let me know.

    If anyone wants to see I'll post the map. Other than data editor stuff it isn't very exiting though

    Also I'm thinking I might use this map as the base for a mod. How do I use the MPQeditor to transfer data editor data to a modfile?

    I've created a custom hanger ability that should launch miniture battlecruisers (I'm calling them terran fighters) like a carrier. However it isn't showing up on the dropdown list of abilities to add to a unit. I'm not sure whats going on.

    I attached the map file. its just a test that I'm practicing with since I'm relatively new to editing maps. The ability in question is currently called AAAA terran fighters and I'm trying to assign it to a unit named after myself.(not saying my actual name on a public forum, starts with a W)
