Is there an easy way for people to protect their maps? I've noticed some maps uploaded here I could play test but couldn't see triggers when I opened up, how was this done?
Hi Mario, I could certainly use some feedback on my project. Did you play warcraft 3 by any chance and have you tried the map Castle Fight? It's loosely based on that, so would help give a general first good idea of how it works. Could go from there.
I'd like to create a Buff spell that replicates shield properties onto a unit temporarily. So for example puts a 20 health shield on to a unit, which recharges by 1 per second, lasting 30 seconds. Shield remains even if reduced to 0 capacity.
I did a search on the forums doesn't seem anyone has attempted this, nor does there seem to be any sc2 ability like this which I could manipulate as far I'm aware at least?
How would you go about making this in the data editor? thanks.
The last 2 I think are really good, but maybe with a slight tweak they'd become even better if you don't mind :)
Blood explosion the highlighting is awesome, could we darken it slightly overall especially the main center part thou?
>>
Plague could we maybe add a little more to the green plague clouds? It's not actually in the drawing but filling them out just a little with some spores like in the next picture would really good great.
Hey, the splatter does look good! Any chance of adding just a little highlighting? Don't mean to keep posting the same examples, but in this one specifically can see just a little here and there bring out that Epicness.
Hmmm nice effort, it's starting to get a little blurry thou. Maybe it's best to stay with the original you made, just making the dash lines very thin orange. That would look really good still.
In fact do you think we might just be able to get a slight orange glow around the whole leg, with the lines being a slightly darker orange. Quite like the following icon theme.
Lastly, the red in the leg would probably be better aqua matching the zealot armor colors. Not essential thou.
I think we replied at about the same time, I actually edited my post quite a bit. There's some really good blood icons back in war3 I put up, can see some very nice shading and highlighting.
Thanks again. Hmmm it's pretty hard to make out the blood, especially with a black background. Quite alot of the detail seems to have been lost. I'd say try to spread more red tones and a little brighter overall.

Requiring internet to map, sounds a bit retarded on Blizz's behalf.

That icon looks awesome now man, nice one!!

It's pretty good, the face seemed to have got very white/shadowy thou, almost 'blurry' in a way.

Looks very good and also nice and clear, that's the best one so far. Thanks :)
My fault for posting red it in the main thread, but I think bright orange would look better instead of the red for those lines?
