I made a map much like this, based off a game that my friends and I play IRL based off the same game this is based off of (the difference is mine is in real time, and I don't know as much about mapping as you do). Confused yet?
I think the solution is to get someone at Blizzard to try to make a map popular without putting the Blizzard map on it, featuring it, or talking it up on Blizzcon. That might convince them of something. Not sure how to get them to do that though; you would need to be completely insane to make a map that 95% chance nobody will play (everyone on this forum including myself).
Why couldn't you make wasd hotkeys for abilities that move you left and/or right, and spacebar a hotkey that makes you jump? Just curious. Does it manage to perform even worse?
Emulating the pheonixfire ability from WC3 would be nice. Battleships Pro was my second-favorite map on Warcraft III, and I ended up giving up on a remake of it fairly early for lack of pheonixfire.
@vjeux:
I would like to enter this, but unfortunately I don't have an EU account, just US. Is there a way to get around this? Also, towers are weak enough as it is, due to the attack priority system. In the original DotA, it was very dangerous for a melee hero to attack a tower, as the tower would have a fair chance of targeting him next. In SotIS, that isn't a problem. Also, I suspect that HP goes up a lot more per level than it does in DotA.
@Etravex:
No, you aren't getting it straight. Create a new trigger that when a unit dies and is the last unit on the map, create a 1 shot timer for 1 second long. Set another trigger that executes when timer expires that adds bounty.
Make a Timer, "Timer 5"
Replace all of your actions with Setting Timer 5 as a one shot timer for 1 second.
Put all of the actions that used to be there in a seperate trigger which is activated when Timer 5 expires.
My Liquid Wars clone, Marine Absorption. Each marine has an immolation-type effect, and when he dies, another marine is created where he used to be for the person that killed him. All marines are uncommandable and follow the warp prism, which is commandable. Since I made the video, I have added and tested victory & defeat conditions.

I'll need to try this out.

If you've got a good map, don't just have it on one server! Find someone you trust to upload it to NA.

True, but the pheonixfire changes targets each attack, making it so you can't focus on one target.

The title pretty much sums it up; I can't seem to figure this out.
