Description: We are making a map that takes place in an abandoned section of space that is littered with space stations and even a planet. Players will travel through space and in space stations to find anything they can including medical supplies, information on terminals, blueprints for new weapons and armor, and other players. Chat will be limited to the station you are on unless you are able to find a radio beacon to transmit your message to all players. Each player will be assigned a role at the start of the game with an item associated with that role. Additionally one player is the Alien. The Alien is able to switch between human and alien form to avoid detection. Over time the alien is able to evolve growing stronger and getting additional skills. The goal of the alien is to wipe out all humans without being killed it self. If the alien dies the humans win. There is no shared vision and no colors. The only identification a player has is the name they choose at the beginning of the game that will be shown only through chat. Deception is the key to winning as alien, while teamwork is crucial for humans.

I am getting a lot of the basic ideas from Metastasis but adding a lot of new features and altering the game play slightly to hopefully make it more interactive and fun. I am pretty adept at triggering and making the actual map. What I need is some who knows their way around the data editor better than me. I know the basics of the data editor (creating units and basic spells with no visuals just effects). So I am looking for someone who can create a list of spells with the desired visual and actual effects. Also I need and item system set up. Secondly I need a UI designer. I am looking to create an ingame pipboy(fallout) like device for players. Both people will be part of the creative process as a lot more content needs to be decided on being implemented. Credit will be divied equally as well.
I am looking to make an in depth RPG in the style of Oblivion ORPG and Eclipse ORPG from Warcraft 3. The plan is to have a team of 4 people each with specialized roles. I need someone adept at the data editor being able to make abilities and units that look good and work. A level designer including the outside world and dungeons. A quest designer and creator whos job would be to set up the quest system. And finally a Trigger Editor who would set up the maps triggers. Every person on the team would help with character, story, and map design. Skype is required. Send me a PM if interested.
Make a Site actor and set the Hosting - Host + field to your science vessel actor. Then an Actor Creation event to Events - Events + and under it add the Create action.
For the weapon effect to fire from the Site actor, add it to the Target - Launch Site of your weapon's Action actor and enable the Launch Force Site Flag under Actor - Action Flags.
No matter what method you use, in order for the medic's weapon to fire from the science vessel, you need to add a Site actor to the science vessel that will then be used in the Action actor of the medic's weapon.
Oh well i dont need it to be a unit. I just want it to be the start of the beam. Ive been messing around with attaching it but I cant figure out how to make it float beside the medic
I am making an RPG. For one the the heroes I want to use the medic model. Because this unit has no attack animation, my goal is the make a tiny science vessel float around the medic and shoot a beam when the medic attacks. To be clear the science vessel would be purely cosmetic. The medic would be the one with the weapon equipt. any help would be greath thanks.
Dr SuperEvil, Yes the science vessel with float by the medic and when the medic attacks it will show a beam between the science vessel and target. the weapon would be attached to the medic which has no attack animation
