    what you'd want for that "fire mode" is to apply a behavior to the unit, choose the "buff" setup for the behavior. These behaviors can alter everything you described. You may need a seperate behavior for the "crit", you can alter the chance that these behaviors take effect so reducing it from 100% will make it a random event.

    In order to prevent firing I'd suggest looking into validators. These are conditions that functions have to meet in order to fire. I believe there are some pre made validators that check to see if a units energy is at a certain percentage, look at these and i think you can figure out how to make it >=1, at the very least you can check to make sure energy is >0 which should work since you're only charging 1 energy.

    Never had a problem with this, I followed this tutorial word for word and it pretty much works fine:

    The main tab to look into is the varients for team setups. Put player 1 on team 1 (1), and put player two on team 2 (1). Then just keep the alternations going between the two teams. Also lock the game mode to be 2 Vs. 2.

    posted a message on Editor crashes when upgrade is clicked

    The upgrade was created before the launch of the game, modifies a core unit. I can't get rid of it and it's a thorn in my side as if i even accidently click it once the editor crashes and the mod is too far along to scrap and start over. Any way of fixing this that anyone knows of?

    Haha, why do you think blizzard has all the category lists for maps in the first place? Lets face truth here, blizzard rushed the release a bit with regards to the map editor. We can see they want all this functionality some of it's there, they just need to impliment it. Hell, we've even seen the shots from blizzcon showing rating and the like.

    I'm not saying we shouldn't be vocal either, I made a few posts on bnet saying this are pretty f'd right now in terms of map development, but all this doom saying is pretty unfounded considering hte games only been out a couple weeks.

    Bump.

    It didn't seem to occur because of a large spamming of the offending triggers (the key inputs) but rather over time. Soak testing the map with 3 or 1 player always broke at about the same time, and spamming buttons or not pressing any buttons at all seemed to have little affect on the issue.

    I've recently reduced the number of players to 6 and i'm currently doing a soak test (left it running for a while) and still no issue. Fingers crossed its been about 15 minutes now and no freeze.

    Everyone who wants to have their map tested and is willing to help test other people's maps post their name and numeric code in here. We WILL send random messages to each other on bnet for testing requests and hopefully have a consolidated group from time to time, so don't post in here if you sign into bnet just to play with your buddies and don't want to be bothered with requests for testing. In turn you get the right to bug others for testing, that's how this whole system works ;).

    If you're hardcore about map making, willing to help others test their maps and want them to help you test yours post your info below, keep it short and sweet. I'll start:

    Having the same issue. Did you by any chance recently create a game varient to distribute multiple players into teams? I think that may have something to do with it, Starcraft thinks there are more players in the game than there are and maybe firing off more triggers than it should, could be wrong though.

    You mean like DOTA?

    I think the complexity you talk about above only serves to make the game less playable. A pick up and play rpg should be simplified so you can literally drop in and play.

    I do like the idea though, in fact it's something I'm trying to work into my mod in a few ways (random quests, events, win conditions)

    I'm pretty sure you would simply have a damage effect that doesn't affect shields, most all weapons are defaulted to go through shields then life, look for the dialogue box where everything is checked but energy and simply remove shields?
