Around 300k views in just a few days on both your trailers. I never knew that many people still were interested in the StarCraft II Arcade. You guys are quite good with the editor.
agree, it take me 2 months for 400k views. impressive!
The setup I use is 3ds max 2011 (+ sc2 art tools). I preview the model and it looks to be working fine. Then I commit the model onto a .sc2mod (dependant mod). I create an arcade map then use the dependencies setting so it reads the sc2mod data. This is where the problem is. It doesn't find anything from sc2mod. Any advice?

I am currently trying to implement a spell which works similar to Arcane Enchanted mobs in Diablo 3/Heroes of the Storm. In case you don't know what I am talking about, check out the rotating pink beams in this gif:
Basically I want to create an effect which creates a stationary rotating line of death. Everything hit by the beam should take damage every second or something and targets can be hit multiple times.
However, I quickly ran into some problems. How do I make a position rotate around a point in the data editor? Are there similar spells somewhere to be found?
Interesring challenging here. Not sure cause the model line is so tiny, it will be hard to have a detector collision system around it. With a bigger model, its easy with triggers. But like this, i dont know.
Steps are usually
get vertex positions and indices
get all sub-meshes
get vertex coordinates
get materials
get bones
get vertex weights
get bind pose
get bone keys
get animations
get attachment points
get bounding boxes/collision spheres
get effects
as you see the list is long an I'm at topic 2...
the effect really are at the bottom, since it is a complete cycle to go through as well, since it has it's own texture, flipbook, material settings, emmitter,....
so usually that is the reason why there is no development on that part...

Sometimes it bug when the file path with the name of the file is to long. The editor cant load long name path.
