Looks very fun! Unfortunately, the popularity system is a complete bust and there is no way to make your map popular short of thousands of people deciding to scroll through the painful "Show More" list, But I will definitely try to keep an eye out for your map and play it if I find it. Nice work.
Best Buy, In all of my years of buying games, they have always had nice little displays with 100's of copies of the game on Release day just sitting there in the middle of the day.
Keyboard and Mouse input really had me excited for SC2, and I ignored the bad results during the beta, but if they don't change their net-code I will be severely discouraged knowing the editor has the potential but it is locked away so to speak.
I sent you an email regarding the remaining positions. I am a huge fan of your map and was following its development at Hive and TH back in the day. I can offer my services to you to either fill that programmer or wild card slot.
Is there anyway to get a map popular short of being one of the first few maps to populate the list at release? Right now it seems like the custom map listing is completely useless. Let me know if I am missing some hidden feature that lets me see more games.
Just add the hold position and move patrol abilities to the unit, then it will add them to it's list tree. Sometimes duplicating units makes them lose certain values.
I knew ORPG's would be in the dozens, I didn't know so many of them would look exactly alike however, this community has been pumping out original work so far, but I have also seen other's that are cranking out the same stuff as me, just with a slightly different look, and people that I was helping over mIRC just utilized me for questions on how I did my stuff, and then proceeded to copy it, so I might as well feed the fire and give the engine to everyone so people will be forced to be more original, meanwhile I will pursue my own original project which is still too early to be named.
Currently there is no way to change the minimap position short of editing some files. That video Noroo posted, and many other examples like it are just dialog images of a static image of the entire minimap that has a dynamically changing dot or arrow updating based on the unit position and the size of the image.
