Got it working! Thanks for the tip. It just came down to creating new units, actors and attach method. Definitely think I'm done with the duplicate function.
I'm having a problem with missile animations on a couple created units. I've essentially made duplicates of a Wraith, Battlecruiser and Goliath, and for all units the missiles begin from the "point" that they touch on the ground.
I've tried checking the source of the missiles in actors and whatnot to match the original units but I cant make the missiles source from the weapons like they do on the original units, any help?
I was indeed talking about Melkor{WC}'s map :) (Pre-LotR) He gave me an unlocked version towards the end of his SC days (we also made a 2nd age map together at one point) and I imported the terrain to SC2 and have worked on it to fit in with SC2.
I'm essentially done with terrain and base design, now I just have to create all the units and then the triggers to make the map work. If my workplace keeps at its current space I should be able to spend a lot of time on it, so hopefully I'll have something playable within a couple weeks to begin the balance work. And I really have to find a way to bring back Dark Swarm and Disruption Web.
gs9889 you got most of the major points right, though I prefer the maps where units can be the different between victory or success as well :)
I think I'm gonna start a project to remake Middle Earth v Pre-LotR, definitely spent far more time on that map than anything else in BW. This editor has a lot to learn though, and I dont have time like I used to :)
I'm trying to place bunkers with shrike turrets but I can't find a bunker already upgraded with it or a setting to give the player the upgrade by default, what am I missing?
