Sometimes when I'm reading a thread and then click back, it'll take me to the forum directory again, not the section i was in. Anyone else having this problem?
I'm Currently developing a Starcraft 2 original called Pandora.
It will be a DotA based game.
All items will be ported over.
the map will be recreated for SC2
Hero ports will come from:
Heroes of newerth
DotA
What's original about it?
You got to remember, there may be someone who may be already far ahead of you. Lots of people are going to be doing this exact same thing, the one who's the furthest will have their map played the most. I really see no point in doing this. I think your better of just making your rpg map. Also, this game isn't based of DotA/HoN. It's cloned of it.
So year or two or more ago, I created a bnet account to get opted in for sc2. I enter my sc cd-key and years later I forgot the name of the account that has the cd-key in it. When I try to make a new one and enter my cd-key in it, it says it's already in use. Is there anyway for me to get that account back? Possibly email blizzard with the cd-key and ask them for my account info?
I don't think you should do that. Unless your using entirely wc3 models, everything wont blend. You'll have the wc3 models and the sc2 terrain, doodads, units, etc. Each game has a distinct style. It wont blend and the wc3 models are low quality. Unless you purposely for some reason want this, then just recreate the models.
Oh, so everything's made from scratch. Well you can make it so that post times are accurate. Why is it that it has 2 times on a post? Is it that the part that says x time later is the amount of time that has past since the last post has been posted? And the time in parenthesis I assume is how long ago the post has been posted. Well if that's the case then the times are very inaccurate.
I also very much dislike how when you click a thread, it goes to the very last post.
This site is probably, to my knowledge, the most progressed sc2 modding forum. I've already seen great things accomplished by the members here. Though the site is very not user friendly(eh, what's a better way to say that?). The overall site is very messy and unclean. The forum is very different from most forums. Will this site every be more like the standard website and forum?
Currently we (a few members from the Mapster community) are developing our own Editor, called MilkyWayEdit. It requires no XML editing knowledge and can be used to create maps, :).
Just wondering, why are you guys doing this? Isn't the only reason to make another version of an editor is because that editor has serious flaws. The galaxy editor isn't released yet and from what I've been hearing, you can pretty much do anything without much trouble.
