it worked for me, ill take a look into it, as I said I had no problems making the laser in a third direction, so it should be the same, ill post back soon.
200th post!
I had no problem making the laser go in a straight line from a point to another, but it's possible making the trajectory turns requires something more complex.
Thanks you for your answer.
Have you tested it ? I did something similar using the periodic offset. I used the following values :
3;0 / 2,5;0,5 / 2;1 / 1,5;1,5 / 1;2 / 0,5;2,5 / 0;3 / -0,5;2,5 / -1;2 / -1,5;1,5 / -2;1 / -2,5;0,5 / -3;0 / -2,5;-0,5 / -2;-1 / -1,5;-1,5 / -1;-2 / -0,5;-2,5 / 0;-3
This does not make a circle at all. It makes only a distorded line, I have no clue how this works.
Hi there.
Useful tutorial. I have a question for you. Do you have any idea how I could make a colossus attack make a circle instead of a line ? If anyone's willing to help please contact me.
Thanks !
The data editor works as a net.
The unit must be associated with the actor. You duplicated the "unit" part, meaning stats and name. The actor is the model and the way it behaves : if you want to duplicate an unit, use right click and use "duplicate" and not copy. Then check the unit and the actor, the rest can stay the way it is.
It should work that way. If it doesn't work, you must reassociate with the model : go in actor tab and select your copied zergling, and search at "model" field. Then you can associate it with the zergling model.
I hope I made myself clear (my english might not be that good)
Oh sorry, my mistake, I was sure to have seen the "Planetary Fortress" line by browsing the models, but maybe I didn't.
Then you'll need to take a look in the Command Center's events in Actor Tab. Everything related to the Planetary Fortress upgrade and make it visible as soon as the actor is created. If you know a little about events, I think you'll be ok.
Ok thanks. I was talking to the guy that said there was an import button on Data Editor, but I can't find it and he's not answering. But thanks anyway !

Don't worry I tought about it too, but still does not work :(

It's quite simple : in unit tab, in "flags" you'll have to check the "turnable" box !

You can make the model invisible by using "Swap Model" in the Events in actor tab, using the model named "invisible".

There is a jump ability on the Hero Marauder of the "Heroes of the Ancient Temple" map. You should check it out !

b0ne123 is wrong, happy04 is right. You have to switch the actor, as the Planetary Forteress is a stand-alone model.

I think "Attack" is also considered as an ability. In order to do that, you should definitivly check the attack ability parameters.

I'd go with what Sbeier said. Using an upgrade for that event would have you fill fields for each upgrades a unit can.

Bump Still can't find it... If that's so obvious, I feel like an idiot
