pff whats mass effect when you compare it to only the coolest RPG universe ever??
nah but seriously I played morrowind a LOT until world of warcraft came out (I know I know I have RPG issues) but then wow started to bore me and I spent all my time on oblivion... and then fallout 3... and starcraft... and now SKYRIM!!!11
@ basharteg I suggest you buy it for PC, extra memory doesn't have to cost that much unless you need to upgrade to windows 64 bit and if you want to play with a controller you can always just buy a wired xbox controller to use on ur pc for like 5 euro
if you need something like a new graphics card though... then ur indeed in quite a dilemma
I actually think that most starcraft RPG's (as far as I played any decent ones comparable to the really good ones in warcraft 3, which I haven't) tend to have too much cowbell. like completely revamping the UI to something thats actually no better or such.\
yo kuiken how do I manage to make a projectile unit follow a circular trajectory around the caster after being fired from the caster? or would this require a completely different tutorial?
if you want highly customisable characters then I suggest implementing something like The Elder Scrolls' (Oblivion?) Spell altar thing, where you can make you own spell, which costs more mana and a higher skill level if it is more powerful. the way to explained seems very RNG based, and since some spells will be completely worthless and there's a limited amount of possible spell slots, it is possible that you end up having shit spells and people leave the game then. just saying tho.
make an integer variable like the first guy did, and give it an array and then make it like: if variable x[player value] then u have it for each player
that sounds way more complicated to do through data than to simply add a behavior or something :S but I have no clue so maybe I could do that, though graphically that wouldnt look the way I want it to look because I really want the cloak to drop off for a set amount of time and not just to reveal the unit
Ive been searching the forums (thread probably exists) but couldn't find it. does anyone know how to do this without the use of the trigger editor? Ive done this before but only through triggers. Ive been looking around and did notice that the behavior Im using (Permanently Cloaked) has an actor called 'Cloak Off' but I have no idea how actors work, and to disable cloak for maybe 4-5 seconds I Should probably use a behavior with a set time? I want to be able to change the time with upgrades aswell. could anyone tell me how to do this? Thanks!:)
easiest way is to make an rpg type map. pretty much covers all the basics. (making quests, boss stuff, spawners, etc) and you can make these as advanced as you wish.
its not nearly as complicated as data editor, anyway. imo...
10 minute load time
game starts, first thing I See 'x has left the game' 'x has left the game' 'x has left the game'
then I see all the element things, alright interresting
then I see em all again
and again
and again
and again
and again
and that kept going like that for like 5 mins til I decided it clearly wasnt 'working as intended'

wouldn't this require some insane algorithms? to calculate the outcome I mean... and lots of data bank storage
