Is there a way to make a buff behavior effect the cooldown/cost of an ability on the unit that has said buff? If not, what is the easiest/simplest way to do something to that effect?
I thought it would be pretty simple to have two command cards on one unit... What I tried was making a button in first command card with the command type Submenu, requirements none, command card 2, learn ability none. It doesnt work though. Help?
I know I've been asking a lot lately, I'm pretty new to the editor and still learning where everything's at.
My latest issue has to do with initialization. In the map I have been working on, team A kills team B, then team B kills team A. After that, players have the option of rematching. (That's where I need to re-initialize everything)
First off, I don't know if its a footprint that's causing the problem anyway, its just my best guess with my limited knowledge of the editor so far
I have been experimenting with changing the scale of different actors, and have found that large actors scaled down are still unable to fit through small gaps that normal small units can.
Is there a field that determines how wide an area has to be to have a unit fit through it?
In the attached attachment, the cow is able to fit through the gap between them but the blight bringer cannot.
Unit Group - Pick each unit in (Any units in (Entire map) owned by player Any Player matching Excluded: Missile, Dead, Hidden, with at most Any Amount and do (Actions)
...
I cannot find "Entire Map"... and I have looked xd
Edit: Nevermind, I was using Units in unit group instead of units in region. Thanks SO much for your help :D
When 1 type of unit (a zergling, for example) enters a region it gains 1 mineral per second. When a marine moves into the same area, it would not get the minerals.
Sorry, its probably really simple but I really suck with editor rn :)
Is no one able to help me with this? Ive tried Scan and repair on the battle.net launcher, that didnt work. Ive looked for a scan and repair for the starcraft editor, havent found one yet.
This is an issue that I need to know how to fix >.>
Every time I open the UI module, I get these messages (in attatchment) and the UI ends up lookin like that... I think its because for some reason im missing a whole chunk of files but I really dont know...
Ok, so I gave the attacked unit the first behavior, which has the chance field set to 1 and handled is set to trigger an effect that just triggers the second behavior, which should multiply move speed by 2 for 4 seconds.
When said unit gets attacked, the move speed buff is applied to the attacker, not the attacked and I have no clue why xD
Another question if you've got the time, I'm trying to make creep tumors reduce the movement speed of all zealots within certain range of the tumor and I don't know how to set that up
I'm really pretty bad with the editor, and trying to figure out how to make a behavior trigger and last for x amount of time when a unit takes damage/is attacked, could someone help me out?
Hello! To start off, I just have to say that I am an absolute noob with this editor, and I apologize in advance for taking up all your time. Over the past couple days I have been trying to design a unit (A simple task it seemed, but... D:)
I came here with an inquiry. Is it possible to make a unit regenerate energy faster while standing still, or slower while moving? I have been asking another SC2 map person and he did not know, and suggested I ask here. If it's possible, could you point me in the right direction?

I really have no idea how to reset upgrades.

(I didnt know what to name the title >.>)

When 1 type of unit (a zergling, for example) enters a region it gains 1 mineral per second. When a marine moves into the same area, it would not get the minerals.
