Simple question, I added a cooldown timer for an ability that runs for the duration of time that you have energy to keep it going (Meaning the ability could be on for 30 seconds or more depending on how much energy you have on your unit) but the cooldown starts the moment you click the ability and not after it is turned off. How do I make it so the ability timer starts the moment the ability is turned off instead of the moment it is turned on?
The ability command card is 1 button
You click it and the icon changes to another icon
The ability is an array with On/Off as 1 and 2
Cooldown question. I added a cooldown timer for the ability but the cooldown starts when you press the ability rather than after the ability ends. How do i make it so the ability ending/turned off triggers the cooldown
The ability is a Radar that is turned on and off with a command card.
I have the ability set to turn on and off with 2 triggers
1.) If player uses ability Radar On, set energy regen to -1
2.) If player uses ability Radar Off, set energy regen to .5
I added the Validator and it shuts off the ability for me like I want it to but it shuts it off when the unit is at 5 Energy instead of 0
I am trying to add a energy cost per second to a custom ability. I am unsure if it is easier to do this through triggers or data editor. I have triggers set up to -1 Energy if ability is active but I cannot figure out how to automatically turn off once the energy count reaches 0. Can anyone help? If there is a simpler way to do this other than triggers please suggest :)
I am working on a map that involves subordinate players using abilities that are very powerful. However the subordinates need to request permission to use them from their officer player. How might I achieve this?
For example
Player 1 is a Subordinate
Player 1 has ability Sentry Gun in his command card
Player 1 wants to use/place Sentry Gun at Location X
He places the see through Sentry Gun where he wants it
The Officer player must be standing at Location Y to get pop ups or to approve the request. If he is standing at Location Y he now gets a pop up window that says "Player 1 is requesting Sentry Gun Drop" (Confirm or Deny)
I dont need larva as much as I need the Hatchery Building (looks the best for what im trying to achieve) the larva werent needed so me turning the Larva into zerg kills 2 birds with 1 stone. 1.) gives me the zergling spawn I needed and 2.) gets rid of the larva I dont need. Thanks for the help guys
I dont see an advanced field anywhere... If you are talking about the "Stats: Limit" Field in the Behavior for "Hatcher-Spawn Larva" I already changed that and it doesn't work. I went in game and tested it and it still stops at 24 zerglings even though I increased it to 30, or 50 or 500
I am trying to make it so Zerglings spawn instead of Larva which I have achieved. I went in and altered the "Hatchery-Spawn Larva : Stats Limit" To allow for more zerglings. It however stops at 24 Zerglings (The Maximum amount of larva you can have after injecting with the queen) any idea on how to make this higher? I need at least 200 or so
I am trying to make it so that when a building is made somewhere on the map that a certain unit will spawn at it periodically. I messed with these triggers last night and could not get them to work. Any ideas as to how to make this work?
Trigger concept
If Player X constructs Building Y on the entire map Spawn 1 of Unit Z at Building Y every 3 seconds for Player X
Awesome thanks. Now for a side note question. I set my range to what I wanted and removed the delay ( I want them to run a lot before they stop ) Do you know of a way to have them run for like 15 seconds then stop for half a second then run for another 15? The Delay is the only "Stop" function and it acts as both the Run time and the Wait time. So if I place the delay at 15 they run for 15 seconds then wait for 15.
By using the wandering behavior can I dictate how far they go? I kinda need them to be able to wander around in a 128x128 area then move to another 128x128 area with the command
I want units to spawn at a certain unit then wander around the map. I also want to be able to give them commands as a whole with button abilities to go to certain regions then wander there. Any ideas?

Fixxed it, changed the validated number to 1 and when the energy reaches 1 it shuts off the ability.

where is the offset field
Ok found the offset field. But lets say I want 200+ zerglings does that mean I have to add 200+ offsets? each with a different number?
