Thank you for posting this, it was really helpful in a lot of ways!Gives a really good perpective of 'Creating a Good Game'
Also I want to thank you for those links, those are very good! Actually I think of buying the book (Game Design: Theory & Practice) of Richard Rouse.
I would greatly appreciate a mentor system. If you can find a way to implement one I'm sure a lot of people would be grateful and it would benefit the entire community.
I agree. Would be really useful, and you'll never run out of teachers/mentors either.
At some point an apprentice will be good enough to take the position as Mentor/teacher and then learn new people up.
My name is jbk1709 here, but I usually go by the name Chipmunk.
I'm currently trying to get more into SC2 mapping, triggers, terrain, modelling, and you name it. I want to learn a little of each which could help me get more familiar with the Starcraft II Editor.
I have lots of good ideas for maps, and I'm also thinking that I will put up a map for the SC2 Map contest.
But what I looking for also is one who has MSN Steam or Skype, so if I have questions or problems I can quickly send you a message containing the thing which is causing me issues.
So if you're just a casual SC2 Mapper, a really good and experienced mapper, or one who knows everything about it..
Then I would love to hear from you in either a PM, a respond.. Or if you want to add me on Steam/MSN/Skype then I will list that below.
Oh, and I come from Denmark GMT+1. It would be helpful if you're from Europe so we are in the same timezone, or close to.
Hope to hear from you! And have a really good day, night.. or whatever it is in the country you come from! ^_^
