Hi, I am making a skill shot ability using the raynor laser splat model.
I got the model to work using an Actor:
Actor
Type : (Arc) Parent : (Guide Visual Arc)
The problem is when I use the ability, the actor stays alive until the ability is completely finished, and if I cancel the ability the actor stays alive for about 2 seconds then destroys itself. I need the actor to destroy immediately when the ability is canceled or if the ability is used.
Here are the actor fields:
As you can see from the events I tried multiple things to destroy the actor, but none worked. Anyone have any idea how I can get it to be destroyed immediately?
Thanks for the reply, I didn't use your solution though, because I have no idea how to use validators. I also found no tutorials on how to use them, but I had already given up on the spell. Thanks again.
Hi,
I am currently working on an ability that is an anti-spell shield.
The spell should block incoming enemy spells (damage and status effects). After the shield has blocked 1 spell, the shield should be removed.
Any ideas how I could get this working?
I do not mind using triggers to get this spell to work, so far I have searched and found no suitable triggers for this spell to work.
Things I have tried:
-Behavior>Modification>Disabled all effects from all negative abilities that exist in my mod. (The effect applies when the spell shield drops. It's queued? No idea how to remove it from the queue)
-Behavior>Damage Response>Leach 1 health for every 1 spell damage applied to unit. (Damage is still applied)
I've found the solution, there was a nearby neutral building in my map that was causing the LOS to be transparent. Neutral units (maybe any unit) that is interacting with it will make them transparent, in my case, the building was very far and was still affecting the transparency of the LOS blocker. Try seeing if any units or buildings are near, or delete any that exist to check which unit is causing the transparency.
Hi, I'm new to the galaxy editor, but I am having a problem with something that seems very simple. My sound emitter wont make the sound I assigned it to make, it's weird because it seemed very simple. Anyone familiar with sound emitters know about any extra setting I must set before the sound work properly? All other sounds work so it isn't camera distance.
Only the name and sound settings were changed.
If you don't know about this, do you know any other ways I can use that is efficient?

Is there any way for me to have a range indicator (little white arrows) for an effect - instant ability?

Thanks a lot, it worked perfectly.

This is happening to me right now and it is irritating, have you found the solution by chance?
