Unbelievable... After a whole day trying to figure this out to no avail yesterday, I make this post after waking up, walk around my condo in quiet despair for 15 minutes, come back to my computer, sit down, and try one last Google search I never thought of in the previous 24 hours: "Starcraft 2 editor ZERO TERRAZINE".
And of COURSE, there it is. A heavily-bumped battle.net thread from 2 months ago, with the answer posted 1 month ago: Data -> Edit Advanced Data -> Gameplay Data -> Default SC2 Gameplay Settings -> Basic Stats: Resource Conversion.
Why in the name of various deities would Blizzard EVER set this to anything other than 1-1-1-1 in the first place? I mean seriously... Sigh.
Oh well, sorry to bother you guys! lol. At least now the answer is here if anyone comes looking. :)
Hello! I started using the SC2 editor for the first time 2 weeks ago. In general I don't like asking for help if I can avoid it, and I've already solved a large number of problems either on my own or with enough internet searches and forum reading.
However: This one has me completely stumped, and Google has repeatedly turned up absolutely nothing with every search term I can think of. So I'm hoping someone here knows something obvious I'm missing, hehe.
This even happens when I make a new, small, test map in the editor. It literally has nothing in it, except these triggers:
"Modify Player 1 Minerals: Set to 1000"
"Modify Player 1 Vespene: Set to 1000"
"Modify Player 1 Terrazine: Set to 1000"
"Modify Player 1 Custom Resource: Set to 1000"
I turned on display of all 4 resource types for all 3 races, b/c I'm using them in my main map I'm making. And what happens in-game? I start with 2000 Minerals, 1333 Gas, 0 Terrazine, and 1000 Custom Resource!
This ALSO happens if I place a zealot, set zealots to have 1000-1000-1000-1000 "Combat: Kill Resource", and then kill the zealot in-game when running Test Document: I get 2000-1333-0-1000 for the kill.
Double-yew Tee Eff?
I REALLY need these to set the right values, for all kinds of reasons...
