Well, once you understand how everything fits together, it's not really that hard to follow. But there's definitely a steep learning curve to it. Really the best way to learn is just to see how Blizzard did various things.
The linked object list does tend to miss links which are made via custom actor events. Really when in doubt you should just take a look at the actor events and go from there. Don't forget that macros can add events too.
And then there are the outliers like the progress actors which you kind of have to stumble on. I think I figured it out just by typing "construction" in the search box and looking through what turned up.
Huh that's funny I was just watching that video before I came to this site. The new setting looks amazing, but BioShock has always had incredible settings.
And incredibly bad character models, and this one looks like no exception. It looks like they're trying to make them a little more cartoony but don't seem to understand they're sitting at the bottom of the uncanny valley.
The next competition should be who can make a fun map in exactly one hour. Announce the theme and any required elements over IRC and then everyone has to submit their maps after an hour. Would that be casual friendly enough?
I think it may be because they're neutral. You also don't gain XP for killing neutral units. Try putting them on a hostile team and see if that fixes it.

Behaviors have a new "Replacement" field.
Model actors have a new "Auto Scale From Selection" field.
I'll update this as I find more.

@RileyStarcraft:
I was able to get it working by deleting all game variants and recreating them. Hope that helps.

Leaderboard works okay in my map. I have the title and minimize buttons hidden, though.

Press H to open up the pathing editor. You can paint "No Building" pathing onto the terrain which allows units to move on it but prevents building.

@BiweeklyAaron:
Me too. Haven't found a workaround as I've been playing Civ V all day.

Edit the Under Construction behavior so it makes the building invincible.

You need to use a morph ability to morph it into a different unit.

This is relevant to my interests. Looking forward to seeing it on battle.net.
