Starcraft 1 Zerg Mission #1: Among the Ruins v1.0
Hi guys. This is a remake of the first Zerg mission Among the Ruins where Daggoth teaches you the ropes. The original transmissions are there, but since there's no cerebrate portrait, I had to make do with that of an Overseer. Daggoth's first line will start at the beginning, and he'll tell you to make an Overlord when you collect 150 minerals. Unfortunately, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make it so he tells you about buildings after you've made an overlord, so after he's done telling you to make an overlord, the one you already have will die, and that will cause him to tell you about structures. Sorry, but it's the best I can do. To hear Zasz tell you your objective, simply tell your hatchery to become a lair. Oh, and the chrysalis is an Overseer cocoon. Tell me what you think and enjoy!
I have played everyone of your remake maps....STOP STEALING other peoples maps is starting to piss me off. Most of these maps have to be set up a certain way in order for it to make sense. Also do you even play the original maps before making a remake? in the protoss mission 1 map your supposed to start with 0 probes. you made us start with 6. I have commented 3 times total on the fact that you have no attention to detail you NEED to pay attention to some of these things.
yes wunterwaffen out of all the map makers here i think ur the shittiest. sry dude but ur maps just suck.
Right...I'm not convinced; it seems a lot like stealing to me, especially when you so boldly claim this map as your own. Don't you get it? Virtually no one enjoys your maps; especially when they are pre-made "templates" (*cough* stolen maps *cough*) They are all horrible remakes, filled with broken triggers ...and yet you continue to spew out map after map. Do you even bother testing your own maps? Don't you see that nothing works? Look at the maps by ChewableProzac, now his maps are polished and well done...thats' what everyone wants to see, maps like that...not this trash you continue to present to us.
I didn't steal it, I used it as a template. Besides, it's better than the tileset in the original mission, a forest/cliff area which didn't make the least bit sense because Tarsonis is supposed to be a city world like Coriscant in Star Wars. It makes way more sense to have it in a destroyed city tileset instead. What's-his-name did an impressive job on that map. I was so impressed I decided to use it as the basis for this remake. And in case you haven't noticed, all of my maps (with the exception of the Dark Origin remake and the Metroid Prime maps) are made using other maps as a template. Even my SC1 editor maps (you should see those: I made my own three SC2 campaigns!) were made by using the various maps that came with the game as a template, although some of those don't look much like the originals because I altered the terrain to suit my idea. In the SC2 Editor maps I've made so far, such editing was less necessary, but occasionally I've had to touch up a few things like some minor terrain alterations, removal of unnecessary or troublesome doodads, terrain height, etc. In my opinion it works out pretty well.
And wow, I just realized that you stole someone else's map (once again) in order to make this.
Another rushed and half-assed "remake" by Wunterwaffen that isn't even close to the original...
Oh, I have a passion for remakes myself, so please PM me if you have anything you need help with.
Hello again, I commented on one of your other remakes. I think you should focus on one map for some time until you fully understand how to do things through triggers instead of spitting out map after map :) Then you wont have to do things like making units placed at the edge of the maps to start transmissions and killing units to initiate more triggers etc.
