I've made my own items with their own animations and I've been trying to set them into a variable so that I can pick them up with the inventory ability when a key is pressed. But for some reason its not working. I've tested it and it seems that it can't set the unit item as a target variable.
I know for a fact that the issure order with the inventory ability works cuz i did it without a varaible and instead use the exact value unit. But when I either use a traceline or a unit in a region and set it as a variable then issue the order with the variable it doesn't work.
So end all it seems the triggers can't set the items as a variable. Is it something in the data folders that I'm missing so that the triggers can detect its properties??
I'll recommend to you the same thing I recommend to anyone even touching items in Starcraft 2: Get the Item Utility Library. It will save you many headaches. Just do a search on this site for it.
