What I encountered is that going in and out of cinematic mode permanently hides all adjusted panels such as minimap, unit info, control group panels, etc. Anyone know how to fix this?
This should work and it works for me. Yes I'm using layout files and I hide parts of the UI with triggers. The thing is that you CANNOT mess with the UI while the UI is hidden/cinematic mode is on. You have to do everything in the right order in order to restore your UI after the cinematic mode.
OK thanks got it to work, you cant use triggers to modify any UI, before you turn on cinematic mode and you cant do anything to the UI a few second after you turn off cinematic mode it seems
Hi all. Recently there was a tutorial on adjusting game UI via SC2Layout files - http://forums.sc2mapster.com/resources/tutorials/17193-sc2layout-files-how-to-adjust-them/.

Same problem here, does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?
The wireframe, command card, etc are still there but are invisible (after turning on cinematic mode and then cinematic mode off)
Don't use cinematic mode.
If you want the letterbox effect use screen images.
How to create black letterbox on top and bottom of the screen? (use dialog i guess? but what image is completely black and wide enough for that?)

Exactly.
you can also have it go to/come out of cinematic mode over 0.0 seconds (instead of "Default" seconds) and that may fix your forever hidden UI
