Hello i am new to the forums and new(ish) to the map editor.
I want to know how to make a menu that pops up in the b egin of the game to select what "hero" you want to have.
example "Do you want hero Sniper Marine Tank Or medic?" and the player clicks on it and get that unit.
Is there also a way to make it cost minarails and gas?
I know somethings about the unit editor But nothing about Triggers so please treat me as a newbie.
P.S. you may want to send me to a 101 trigger tutorail first as i know nothing.

Thanks do the tip i have been looking and i have shearched both menus and Dialogs for about a 40mins now(i was shreaching befor i posted here)..... :(
But so far i cant find a good one on how to make a dialog.....
Is there a good map i can download just to see a menu/dialog?
A video or even a tet eaplme of how to do it.

I think dialog designer might interest you. You can easily make dialogs with it, and you immediately see the result. After that you can remake them in your map and copy the positions of the dialog.
Dialogs can be quite confusing at first, but are actually rather easy. Most of the work is positioning it and making it look good. I would recommend the dialog designer, but you could also manually do it.
Create a dialog
Create some buttons (1 per hero)
If you want it to look nice, don't just have 5 buttons with text on. Create images with portraits as the image, labels, pulldowns, lists etc. My personal favourite is using a list on the left side, with an image and a label on the right for hero info with pulldowns for unit options and a button for hero selecting at the bottom, but it all depends on what you like.
Then you just set up triggers. Make sure every dialog item that isn't an image or label does something, whether it's changing a variable or initialising a cut-scene.
Test, reposition and generally spend a lot of time refining the dialogs. I often spend hours at a time refining my dialogs, adding more content, then spending hours more making it look even better :D

I will looked into the video it was nice...But My map editor turns sound off for some reason so i had alot of trouble with that.....And bug fixxed to that?
Wolf Yes i mainly just dont know what all the trigger do yet :O (i cant ever get it to have one unit follow anouther or have spanw ever seconds or something)
i dont need to know that stuff those should be simple BUT...what is a unit group? my brother need to know that.

For that u need to do a dialog. Use the search bar with the word "Dialog" and u may find anything usefull.

Unit group its a group of units ;)..basicly its that. But for what u need an "Unit Group"?
