What are the clear differences between modal and non-modal? I have never used these. I see that they are an option next to using a standard dialog window for a voting screen I'm venturing to create.

As far as i know the option currently just does nothing.
Usually a modal dialog doesnt allow interacting with the "parent" dialog while its displayed.
