Nothing has changed: I'm still on my spree of going through ideas from the WTE Global information/ideas thread, and this week we're going to follow Tatatatate's idea of "Illusions". The purpose of this theme is that you guys create some kind of scene or terrain that is not what it seems or in some way is filled with illusions or cloaked units. How to approach that otherwise is up to you.
LOL. Sorry, i had to laught. Honestly, it was just flat before i take the screen and i stared at the picture and though; "Nah, its way to empty on the side, it needs something" But nothing could really fit there so... i though maybe its just some kind of time door in a far desert? idk. So i just took the noise tool and rapidly made the whole area with spikes in like less than 30 sec. Then i took the screen and posted. The irregularity in the ground filled it with something not just flat and boring.
Lol well it worked for you. Whenever I use the noise tool it's to spiked and jagged for my tastes, but here it looks perfect. Idk maybe I'm using it wrong.

This makes me think of Diablo 3, where there is a mage girl that can sees illusion and ambushes and hidden paths. "Illusion blocks our way..."
Let me think of this one... skyboxes are going to be interesting.

Good sand hills! It can be really hard to get hills to actually look like hills and not weird spikes.
