Today I found myself thinking about a simple biome type terrain we haven't done yet on the WTE, and though it was hard, I managed to come up with one: "Plains". For this week, I'd like you guys to make an interesting terrain resembling barren plains somehow. Think along the lines of Rohan from the Lord of the Rings movies, here.
This isn't the most geographically realistic piece I've ever done. Probably more of a steppe, really. And it could really use some depth of field, but Blizzard doesn't seem to be fixing it for Mac, so that's that.
There you go ;) A couple modifications. Also tried to exercice with different mix of Fog and lighting.
It makes me thinking of a wte idea, but might be hard... Would be to terrain something (can be anything) but the idea is to tell 2 stories of the same terrain by simply changing the lighing, fog or tint, without changing position, scale and adding or removing stuff.
Always easteregg. If one day I make a videogame, it will have eastereggs for sure. Blizzard has tought us that it can be super funny, and really, why not, it's just so fun to do.
Except... if I had a real rainbow model with faded edges that looks real, i would have used that, but there is only a very thick rainbow in the editor so meh, there it is :D
No rush Moz. I won't be mad at you for skipping a week or two considering you've been able to carry this on for so long... Make sure to success irl first ;)
Weekly Terraining Exercise #250
Hey hey guys!
As always, good luck & have fun!

You do love your silly easter eggs. What is the name of the mountain doodad you used?

Eventually. I've been hard at work on my thesis, along with doing some moving. Haven't gotten to it.
