Is it just me, or does it seem like it is extremely hard to shape particular cliff side surfaces? I find it practically impossible to make right angles on cliffsides, such as those used in an installation type map. What am I doing wrong? I tried different brush sizes and shapes.
No, you are right - heighting can be a pain to work with. Mostly what I've found to work best is raising one specific piece of land to the height you want the area to be and then using the uniform tool. Afterwards use the smoothing tool on the edges. Generally getting specific cliffs to look right just takes a lot of patience.
