This week, as per an idea by Scbroodsc2, the theme for the WTE is going to be "The Road Ahead". This means the exercise revolves around making a terrain of which roads are the primary focus. This will give everyone a chance of playing around with the new road functions LotV brought us.

And most likely new roads in the data? (Maybe) XD But it can also be only texture mix with decals on it to fake the road. It doesn't have to be a doodad.
This is the city of Cerberuas, it was abandoned decades ago and the highways and roads are very worn down, here is a picture of the city as well as the highways that once served as the city's blood line...
(I always like to make a story behind one of my maps. :P )
That looks pretty amazing; you could use it as it is for an unpathable section of the map. Add some flight blockers on the towers and you're good to go. It would work well in the middle of a melee map, I think. One point of improvement would be that the grassy areas on the high ground still seem a bit empty. Perhaps do some textureplay there and add some concrete/bricks? Also, the road itself is extremely empty. Perhaps some car wrecks or stuff similar to that would improve it.
That is very good use of the 3 campaign buildings in one map. It shows how much can be done on those lower levels too bad I think they cant be played. Those lower levels have always fascinated me.
That's pretty cool actually. I would imagine if the cliffs were actually kind of destroyed, falling apart like the highway, maybe even car crashed at awekward position, and if tree started to growth there, well then there should be vines too or some kind of grass. Anyway I like it :)
I'm sorry I'm quite a bit busy for the month to come and won't be able to post any terrain most likely... more of a certitude than just a "i wish i can do something this week". So, I'm still looking to see terrains here, but yeah kinda busy irl, you know when someone flight by plane to where you live...
