Im trying to create basically a boarder of my map of "space" by lowering the terrain to the lowest level it lets me. Works fine, I can make my map layout (and have) but after I save and reload the terrain is all crazy, half of what I made is gone and is filled by 2x2 squares (grid size large) of not max height but the height of everything else in my map.
Ive tried editing it part by part saving and reloading. Whenever I load my map the terrain changes to basically something unusable. Why is it doing this?
The method ive been using is lower the area I want, then for fine fixes I use the (I forget the name... basically level out terrain or something like that, to match the level I want) to make it level for the area I want the game in. The rest I want to be basically space.
Is this is a known bug, should I not use he button ive been using to level out my "playing field"
Even if I edit a few squares and save, reload... I then get random squares of the original starting height of the editor everywhere I just spent time making as low as possible.
Again is this known or am I doing something wrong?
I could just use a "no unit" zone, which I plan on using, but just for astetics id like the map to looks like its floating... with a space boarder. It just keeps almost randomizing the terrain I edit when I save and reload.
SC
EDIT: I attached a photo, it does this to everything as soon as I open the map, random areas lifted and lowered. Even if I edit a small part, save and reload it does this again.
